Read morestayed in a triple room with balcony on 10-11 november 2018. cannot comment on breakfast because we didn't have breakfast at the hotel||||PROS:||-once you find the location of this hotel, you realize it is in the heart of sapa city but tucked away from blaring music, in a little alleyway up a flight of about 20 stairs. so it's really peaceful at night||- rooms were pristine, spacious, quite new. the beds were HUGE and of the firm kind, if you like such mattresses||- rooms came with hot water showers||-hair dryer in the room is provided (remember not to sleep with wet hair in cold weather!)||||||CONS:||-no central heating in the rooms so we had to wear thermals to sleep (temperature outside at night was about 14 deg) - when we woke up it was freezing cold in the morning||- need to lug your luggage up a flight of about 20 stairs in a small alleyway to get to the hotel cars cannot drop you directly at it's doorstep. ||- staff did NOT reply my agoda messages and emails to confirm our reservation, until i had to facebook message them TWICE (even then, it took the 2nd time before they replied on facebook||||TIPS:||-not worth getting a room with balcony as there are limited views from the window - the hotel is tucked in an alleyway surrounded by buildings hence the view is obscured ||-ask the taxi driver to drop you along Xuân Viên road in Sapa (go googlemaps it), then carefully search for a small alleyway leading up to the hotel (the alleyway is marked by arrowheads with "Sapa Aroma Hotel" being one of them) -- go up the staircase and make a left on the first turning you see :)||- there was a landslide along Hoàng Diệu road in Sapa when we went so we dropped along Xuân Viên road instead ||- note that you have to bring luggages up the flight of about 20 steps so i caution against bringing...
I want to give a honest thought about this place: it is a small, boutique, just enough amenities and central location place. But the way they are doing business is NOT HONEST. I have booked a two nights stay for VMM marathon 2024. Then the Yagi typhoon came, everything had to be cancelled and replanning. I immediatelly contact the hotel through their official phone number and Zalo account asking if my reservation could be rearrranged to the new date with my full payment already paid through Agoda. They message me YES, it is OK. And up on new date, I was informed by the young guy in front desk that I have to pay 1 million VND for 2 nights stay. He said the old booking was cancel by Agoda. It is not true, because I still keep the old email from Agoda system asking for review the property while check out on previous date. So this hotel had received my money already from the "official" Agoda booking. If they are honest, and stated clear in the begining: Agoda booking was nonrefundable, it would not be a problem. Here they promised to rearrange the full reservation and then ask for new payment up on arrival. This is lie. BE AWARE AND...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience in this hotel. Very bad customer service and do not recommend on it. We booked one night, the next day we talked to the receptionist about renting a motorbike and he offered us things to do around. We went on our way and in the late afternoon when we came back we found all of our staff at the reception. Some in bags, some thrown around. Our toothbrushes full of soap. They didn't tell us we have to check out and just threw away our staff. Not in the morning when we talked to them, and not called to let us know (even though they had our phone number). If they told us we would have understand. When we found our things like this and asked why didn't they tell us they didn't even apologize. They didn't try to help us and we had to spend a lot of time to find a new...
