Because I loved Cong Ca Phe when I first tried it in Hanoi, I made sure to visit their branch in Sa Pa as well. I’d seen a video recommending this spot before, and even one of the restaurant staff from where we had dinner suggested it.
The aesthetic here stays true to the signature Cong Ca Phe vibe, but with its own touch of character. It’s also the most spacious branch I’ve been to so far, which made it feel extra comfortable. This time, I tried their salted coffee. I wanted to try it since I had my their coconut coffee in Hanoi. Unfortunately, it was served in a paper cup since they had run out of their iconic glass. It would’ve been a complete experience if it came in the glass (at least for the aesthetics, but more importantly for environmental reasons), but honestly, it didn’t take away from the taste. It was really good. It was rich, smooth, creamy, with the salt perfectly balancing and enhancing the coffee flavor.
Maybe if there’s one thing to point out, it was quite loud when we visited. A group of customers were shouting the whole time. Of course, it’s not fully within the cafe’s control how patrons behave, but hopefully they can do something about it. Nonetheless, it was still a beautiful experience, and I’d love to...
Read moreI’m really glad I had the chance to stop by Cong Caphe during my time in Sapa. This coffee chain is very popular across Vietnam — even more common than Starbucks — and is known for its cozy, retro-inspired design.
At this branch, the atmosphere felt relaxed and casual. They have small outdoor tables and chairs, typical of local coffee shops in Vietnam, which made the experience even more fun and felt very local. The location is also right in the city center, so it’s nice just sitting there watching the daily activities around.
For the drinks, I tried their salted coffee and coconut coffee. Both were really good, but I personally liked the salted coffee a bit more — it had a unique sweet and salty balance that was memorable. Their coconut coffee was also delicious and refreshing. If you’re not into coffee, they have several non-coffee drinks that are worth trying too, which makes this place even more interesting.
There’s also a second-floor seating area decorated with flowers, where you can enjoy a clearer view of the town. Overall, it’s a nice place to relax, grab a good drink, and experience a bit of...

Stepping into Cong Ca Phe felt like entering a charming haven – the rustic yet cozy atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable experience. Despite the bustling crowd on a weekday mid-afternoon, the cafe's ambiance remained inviting. Cong Ca Phe in Sapa truly excels in crafting an exceptional fusion of flavors and creating an atmosphere that lingers long after you leave. Highly recommended for those seeking a tasteful escape in both beverages...
