Wow! I’m at a loss for words with how much I adore this place, I’ll do my best though.
You can find this restaurant a short walk from Sapa’s town centre up a charming stone staircase. When I walked in there were lovely piano covers of popular songs playing, that put me right at peace. The service was so warm and friendly, the food was just as good. I got the rice bowl, it was the freshest tasting meal I’ve had in Vietnam and was bursting with flavour. A hearty, filling meal that was colourful, and intriguing with every bite. The chalkboard out the front has a few of their options, but the menu itself is has more choice.
They also have a great selection of drinks, juices and some excellent craft beer (the Chinook IPA was delicious). The daily quote on the wall was nice, and I enjoyed reading through an envelope on my table of some of their favourite quotes they’ve put up. I loved the lighting, the whole setting was fantastic and I felt right at home. If you’re lucky you might even meet a cute, friendly white cat that likes to hang around the neighbourhood.
I’m not even vegetarian let alone vegan, don’t let that stop you from enjoying a meal here or you’ll seriously miss out. Thanks Thang...

The full story: We are vegan travelers who made an unexpected trip to Sapa due to heavy rains in the south and this place quite literally made our trip! The food is delicious and the ambience is magical (we ate here at least 4 times during our 4 day stay) - which we expected from the earlier reviews. What we didn’t expect was for the restaurant to also offer vegan guided trekking services! We booked two tours: a 1 day trek to a local village and a 1 day trek to the top of Mt Fansipan - both were incredible!! Thong Dong made it SO EASY to book last minute guided activities.
Our guides were amazing women from the local Black Hmong people. It was so special to learn about their cultures and traditions. We even got to make our own indigo dyed tapestry!! Knowing that all meals provided would be veggie made the days stress free and allowed us to fully enjoy the moment.
This place is amazing!! You must give it a try -...
Read moreOkay, one of the best meals i had in Vietnam, in Sapa the best by far. Even if you not vegan you should try eat there. We took the fried spring rolls like everybody does, it was delicious. Also took the tomato and cream spaghetti, also unbelievable. Finally good vegan food and a good food in sapa. I had to try the deserts also after finally having something sweet that is vegan. We took all the vegan deserts (cookies, chocolate and cheesecake) the cheesecake was amazing and the cookies also, the chocolate was ok but everything else was amazing. The atmosphere there also is very special with many notes stick on the wall written by people who ate there (don't forget to write one too). Just remember that they have a place for coffee and the restaurant is above (also they have a break at lunch in the restaurant). They also offer takeout and one last thing, they have a cat there so if you are allergic like i do, pay attention and they will keep the cat...
