I arrived in Sapa at 03.00 in the morning, the boy at the reception was very kind and very helpful despite the time, he accompanied me to my room helping me with my suitcases. Even though I was alone, they gave me a room with two double beds, I slept very well; very spacious bathroom with really large shower, very comfortable; everything was very clean. In the room I found a kettle and coffee and tea sachets at my disposal, as well as several bottles of water. Delicious morning breakfast, I chose fresh fruit with yogurt and granola, Vietnamese coffee and mango smoothie. All delicious, I would have made an encore if I hadn't been in a hurry. The girl at the reception, Moon, organized the evening bus for my return to Hanoi very quickly, even cheaper than online sites; all the staff were very kind and very efficient, I have rarely met people like that. I decided to try their cuisine for dinner: it was excellent too! I want to recommend this property because in addition to the excellent location in the city of Sapa (it is in the center) I found very helpful, smiling and efficient...
Read moreLocated conveniently near the bustling streets of Sapa Center, Ladybird Restaurant Hotel Cafe offers a variety of dishes for patrons to enjoy. During my visit, I opted for the salmon sticks, a renowned delicacy in Sapa. The dish undoubtedly lived up to its reputation, showcasing the region's unique culinary offerings.
However, I found the serving size to be smaller than expected, which detracted from the overall dining experience. As a result, I've rated my experience at three stars. It's worth noting that the elevated region of Sapa may contribute to the higher cost of salmon-related dishes, a factor to consider when dining in the area.
Despite this, I couldn't help but wonder why salmon is touted as a must-try in the Sapa region. Could it be due to the scarcity of seafood products in the area? I'd be interested to hear others' perspectives on this matter.
Overall, while the salmon sticks at Ladybird Restaurant Hotel Cafe were undoubtedly delicious, the serving size left something to be desired. Visitors should keep this in mind when exploring the culinary...
Read moreWe sat out on the terrace which is nice enough. The waiter came fairly quickly and took our order but the we did not see him again during the entire meal; even though I would have liked to order something to drink. He also forgot our spring rolls and it would have been nice if he had told the only other guests, four very young Vietnamese, to stop screaming and shouting as they were playing video games.
The food was better than the service. My wife ordered a rice soup which was very good and my spicy pork was also good if not very spicy. The smoothies were excellent and, as mentioned, we would have been more than happy to order a couple more but that was not possible as we did not see a waiter during the entire meal.
Setting is nice, especially when it is warm enough to sit on the terrace.
Update 10.02.22
Still one of the best places to have a meal or drink in Sa Pa. Both the beef and the chicken stew are excellent and will do nicely on a cold winter day. The pan-fried chicken with mushroom cream sauce also comes highly...
