Em O Day Bakery — Restaurant in Sa Pa Ward

I came here with a friend after we were looking for a good bakery/pastry shop and and are so glad we stumbled upon this little shop!

The lady just came back from a 10 day holiday and told us that she'll have the pastries ready this afternoon since they were still being cooked/baked. We came back and had the carrot cake and a slice of the apple cake and both were great!

The apple has a caramel/sugar glaze on top which for me was a bit too sweet, but it still isn't on Asia sweet terms. The carrot cake is probably the best I have had in my life, which surprised me amazingly.

The flavours of her pastries are as delicate as the lady herself. She is so kind, loving and accommodating and all those qualities you can taste in her pastries.

We were not expecting to find a place of such quality in Sa Pa, or anywhere in Northern Vietnam, but our experience was very good.

I highly recommend this little bakery and to give it a try! She does have limited selection in products in comparison to any other bakery, but the things she makes are of high quality.

Every time I go to Vietnam, I always look for a bakery to go to and this is the first time I e found a proper one 🥹 I prefer western style cakes but it’s hard to find amongst all the mousse cakes or the Asian style cakes. This bakery satisfies that preference! The owner of this bakery is such a nice lady who explained that the translation of the bakery name is “I am here” for when you are looking for desserts. She speaks English so it is easy to talk with her. I can NOT emphasize how good these cakes are. The carrot cake is so moist and the chocolate cake is so rich! The cream cheese of the red velvet cake is so good and the apple cake is great for breakfast! It’s no joke the amount of damage we did… Each slice is about 50k-65k vnd. Walking up the steep flight of stairs to reach here was totally worth it. A humble little bakery operated by a lovely one-woman pastry chef who puts in her soul and passion into producing each cake fresh from the oven. Her best sellers are the Carrot Cake and Orange Pound Cake. Complement those with her variety of concoction of mixed fruits/berries teas. Would have given 10 stars but Google only limits to 5. Do come and patronise her if you happen to be in Sapa. I visited the shop twice during my trip to Sapa. You'll definitely not regret it. Highly highly recommended 👍🏾👍🏾
