I stayed during the month of March for 3 days, 2 nights in their private suite (king bed).
I am very pleased with my time here at Fansipan Terrace Homestay. My arrival was smooth and check in was easy (I was able to check in early since it was available). The woman named Mai helped me get settled and gave me all the information I needed to explore Sapa city’s centre. They offer local tours and laundry service for an extra fee. Breakfast is free, and provides vouchers to give each morning of your stay.
My room was super cozy with an extremely beautiful view of the mountains. At sunset, it was incredible! I had a private washroom, but I was very close to the hostel-shared washroom which at times could be noisy in the early/evening hours but I didn’t mind at all, all the guests here are also wonderful. Because it’s fairly cold during the morning/nights in Sapa, I was happy that my heating unit worked sooooo well, keeping me nice and toasty when sleeping.
Like most places outside of major cities like Hanoi, the water hearing only lasts a short amount of time, so please be warned to learn to shower quickly! Or else you’ll be shivering during your shower time lol. Amenities were provided such as hairdryers, kettle, complimentary tea/water, toothbrush, combs, towels etc.
One thing to note, only towels are replaced each day. Your beddings aren’t changed unless necessary, which is fine with me to keep things environmentally friendly.
There are lots of delicious restaurants nearby, but honestly I found I enjoyed eating at their restaurant more. Breakfasts and coffee here are wonderful. Especially looking out at the view.
I had such a great stay, the folks here work so hard and are genuinely so sweet. The owner himself is such a gem of a person! I’m happy to recommend this to all who are interested.
Thank you Fansipan Terrace Homestay for hosting me in my time...
Read moreWe stayed for 1 night in their Twin Room with Mountain View, the last room available when we booked, and we were pleasantly surprised. The view from our window was just as stunning as from the common balcony. It was the perfect spot to wake up to and take in the scenery of the Sapa mountains. 🪟🌄 They even let us check in 2 hours early at no extra cost, which was a thoughtful bonus.
The room itself was simple but clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. Although the bathroom was shared and gender-neutral (our mistake for not checking the amenities carefully), it was still well-maintained, and the hot shower works perfectly against the cold weather. Their shower rooms were also complete with hooks and shelves for your towel and toiletries. 🚻🚿
What made us attached to this stay the most was how family-centered the homestay felt. The warm, welcoming staff created a homely atmosphere that made us feel more like guests in someone’s home rather than just travelers passing through. They even had a very cute in-house cat and dog, which added to the family-like vibe. 🐾
Breakfast was plated with several options, with coffee just as good as other local cafés. We also had a late dinner there which was a good decision as the serving size and taste were well worth the price. 🍛 While there was no traditional lobby, their restaurant space doubled as a cozy common area, with an interior that gave off the perfect vibe for enjoying a cold beer on a cold night. 🍺
It was a charming and memorable stay with unbeatable views. Would definitely recommend for solo travelers...
Read moreI chance upon this hostel arriving in Sapa looking for a dormitory. The staff are welcoming and speaks English. Owner of the hostel is also very helpful, friendly and take amazing photos that you have to see when you arrive.
The stay here was definitely amazing for the price point and I recommended here while I meet other travelers, instead of the planned 1 night, they continue more nights here.
The restaurant even have their own bakes like cheese cakes, chocolate cakes and etc. nice coffee and smoothies. Local and western food is available. They have a good spread menu and you can just stay here the whole day without getting out to chill in the cafe.
With the cafe view of the Fansipan Mountain, you can get really nice photos during a clear day even can see Fansipan Legend from the view here. I totally enjoyed my stay here and return after another homestay in the village.
It may not be the nearest place in Sapa town near to the city area, it’s merely a 5-10mins walk which is easy to get you to convenient stores, restaurants and ATM.
They accept credit card payments with no extra charges.
Bedding are clean, toilets have hot showers and the staff get things fixed quickly if there are any errors.
I had a pleasant stay here for total...
