My friends and I went to this restaurant last Sunday after lunch hour, ordered a few dishes including this roasted duck with honey. Only until we ate a few pieces of the duck, then we saw this black worm moving at the bottom, in the leaves??!! It was still alive, moving and was eating the leaves ( wish I could upload the video but google didn’t allow)?!!! We immediately questioned the waitress and she just took the plate away, came back after around 10 minutes and said it was free, but didn’t even explain the situation and honestly, didn’t seem very sincere. The hygiene of the kitchen was a big concern for sure as the fact that the worm was still alive, it was apparent they didn’t even bother to wash the leaves? And the baskets with the veggies behind the kitchen were either super near to the floor or at the very top near the ceiling, which was very dirty as well. In the end when paying, the ladies (whom i assume were more like the owners or at least restaurant manager level) were not even there and when we wanted to question their hygiene and question the bill, we couldn’t even communicate as the person could not speak English.
It was a very bad experience and some of us had stomach pain and diarrhoea the day after. Left us big trauma as it was really disgusting and we doubted every other dish that went into our mouth because of this!! Huge hygiene issue!!!...
Read moreI recently visited Sapa and had an unforgettable dining experience at Hello Vietnam Restaurant. This place is a must-visit if you want to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food in Sapa. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for the cool mountain weather. The staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke good English, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The food at Hello Vietnam Restaurant was outstanding. I highly recommend the grilled salmon on a hot plate and the black chicken steamed with lime leaves – both dishes were packed with authentic Sapa flavors. We also tried the sweet and sour duck, sturgeon hotpot, and bamboo rice, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a restaurant in Sapa that serves both traditional Vietnamese cuisine and local specialties, this is the place.
Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Hello Vietnam Restaurant in Sapa is a great choice for anyone who wants to enjoy tasty Vietnamese food, local mountain dishes, and warm hospitality. I will definitely come back on my next...
Read moreI ate 4 meals here during my stay in Sapa. Each one was very delicious and a good size with fresh ingredients. I had a Tofu and eggplant hotpot on the first night which I enjoyed so much and also tried the Sapa hot apple wine which while wasnt my personal favourite flavour was still a nice experience and was nicely prepared. I had an European breakfast and was able to swap eggs instead of sausage. The included fruit salad with yoghurt was very delicious and a good large size. I also tried Salmon soup which I enjoyed and Bun Cha which while not as mind blowing as in Hanoi (omg my favourite Vietnamese dish) was still very good and tasty, maybe just lacking diversity of the leaves/herbs it was served with, only having lettuce included. Service was always quick and friendly, and the views were great. I was given complimentary fruit after 3 of the meals during breakfast time i think was the timing/reason. Price was very reasonable and place was clean and comfortable. Thank you very much for some very tasty and great quality food, all the best to...
