Simply Avoid it...
Welcome was all warm with a friendly lady receiving me. Then after coming in the room, the issues started. The room was very smelly and musty and all pillows and bed linen were moisty. Furthermore, the room only viewed the next building’s wall and not the beautiful view. The latter was not the hotel’s fault, but the booking agent simply had not told me, while the hotel had informed them. Anyway, I wanted to switch rooms, because of all the above. Since I used the shower the hotel lady refused that - Eventhough I offered to pay for this room and the new room. She insisted I stayed in the bad room. Availability was not the issue, because there were hardly any guests. When I told her I was not going to stay in that room and if needed I would move to another hotel, she threatened she would not refund any of the two remaining nights as well. With this attitude, I decided to cut my losses and move to a much nicer hotel. I had a lovely stay at KK Sapa Hotel and would recommend that one highly to all (see my review). No need to have your holiday ruined by a...
Read moreWe booked a total of 3 rooms as we were a family of 6 adults visiting Sapa. We also paid extra to upgrade our rooms to the "mountain view category". Upon checking in, we were goven 2 rooms on level 4 and one room on level 6. The room on level 6 had a reasonable amount of moubtain view but the rooms on level 4 were more like rooftop view of the other buildings. When we checked out and gave the feedback to the reception manager, she was unprofessional and defensive. We tried explaining that the feedback is for them to review their rooms again in case they were not aware of the buildings blocking the view but she kept insisting that the rooms are "mountain-facing", thus the mountain view. We gave up eventually trying to put our point across. Rooms were basic, not as clean as I would like the bed and toilets to be but acceptable for a place like Sapa. There are many hotels in the area for options. Reference of photo posted is of level 6 room. The view from level 4 was so bad we didn't even bother...
Read moreWe stayed the night as bought a trekking tour in Sa Pa. The room was huge and the bed was massive and very comfortable! There's a safe to put your valuables, 2xwater bottles and bananas. The only problem was the bathroom, it was quite dirty and there seemed to be a small leak next to the toilet as there was a puddle. The view from our room was horrible it faced the back of a building full of overgrown bushes and lots of rubbish. The pool and communal showers were also dirty, there were no towels available and no staff at the counter to help. Also found quite odd seeing a staff member using those showers in the middle of their shift. Food was tasty, breakfast was nice and varied. Lunch was also good! Staff don't have very good English so quite difficult to...
