Had high hopes for this hotel and was let down in many ways. My experience with the staff was below what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Although it is advertised in Sapa and Vietnam as 4-stars, Google has them rated as a 3-star.
This hotel has a restaurant on the 7th floor. Be wary that if you are given a room on the 6th floor, you will hear heavy chairs scraping the floor as guests get situated at their table for breakfast. This will last from 5:30-9, with the worst of it happening on the weekend. Not a fun thing to wake up to in the morning.
Now for the infuriating part of my stay. When I checked out, they sent a cleaner to my room and found a hand towel that had black residue on I had accidentally stepped on it at some point. The older bald man who was checking me out was trying to tell me this in English but became frustrated and radio’d for the cleaner to bring down the dirty towel to show me why he was upset. The cleaner brought down the hand towel moments later and the older gentleman proceeded to raise the towel in front of me so I could see what he was talking about. He was very rude and made this commotion in front of other guests who were in the lobby looking on, just as confused as I was. Then, he told me I would need to pay 50k VND($2 USD) for the towel. A supposed 4-star hotel, causing a commotion and then demanding I pay for a dirty hand towel. I paid over 3.5m VND for my weekend stay and this was my last impression of the hotel.
Take your money and spend it elsewhere. There are plenty of other, cheaper options that are more friendly...
Read morePoor. Room and bed were nice but didn't get to enjoy it. After a late night of people screaming and partying with loud music outside, construction started directly outside our room at 6:45am. On a Saturday. An extremely loud generator being used to power two also loud jackhammers. Called reception multiple times and walked out to the reception desk multiple times and over the course of an hour was told multiple times that they were gonna stop it and it was about to stop. It didn't stop. It literally sounded like the jackhammers were in the bedroom. I took a recording of the sound to show reception, and then had to go bring reception into the room to show them the noise because they were insistent that the noise had already stopped. After an hour they gave us a new room. So at 7:45am....we packed up all our things and switched rooms to a room that was not quiet, but less noisy. Any chance of sleep already gone. Be prepared for loud construction 6:45am-5:30pm if you stay here any time soon. The most expensive place we've stayed in our 4 months in southeast Asia and also the worst experience. Any time I need to walk out to reception in my pajamas is a bad time. Also literally have to call reception and request to have the hot water turned on which is bizarre. In both our rooms. We called and they were like hold on we have to go open the valve. Like what?? Do you keep the hot water off until someone...

The room is designed in a northern style with extensive wood decoration, giving the appearance of an old hotel, but it is well-maintained. All the equipment is in excellent working condition, such as the new sink and functioning light bulbs. Most importantly, the water pressure is strong, with very hot hot water and very cold cold water.
The location is inside a small alley, but it’s just a short walk to the hotel—not deep, not scary, and not isolated, as the alley is lined with various shops and restaurants. Just a bit further out, you'll find taxis and motorcycle taxis ready and waiting. Additionally, it’s a main road leading to the Sa Pa roundabout.
Breakfast is quite diverse and comprehensive. You’ll certainly get all the necessary nutrients, especially protein, which is available from both meat and boiled eggs. There’s also an egg station where the staff can cook fresh dishes, as well as a noodle station that changes daily, offering dishes like pho or bun. Other foods are available every day, with two or three rotating dishes.
As for the view, I believe all rooms have a wide view since there are no tall buildings blocking the scenery. Looking far out, you can see mountains, which are now shrouded in mist almost all day.
It’s definitely worth the...
