Lives upto it's namesake - real amazing experience. Tea and hot towel given upon checkin - nice touch after 6hrs on a bus. Booked an hour before arrival and paid extra for a mountain view room - you'll wake up to Fansipan in the distance each morning (helps you decide if you want to go up or not - quite often clouded over). Internal windows in the bathroom but blinds can give you the necessary privacy. Rooftop bar (take stairs from top lift level 6) wasn't in use, but the 270° views are amazing (other hotels in the area look to only have 180° so the rooftop is definitely prime real estate). Adjacent indoor pool open but didn't see any guests frequent it during my stay - change rooms look to still be a work in progress. Buffet breakfast was the best during my 1 week in Vietnam - you may get wait staff ask if they can make you a drink - complimentary of course - ginger lemongrass tea is a nice touch. Outdoor tables are available, but note that you may encounter smokers. Lanterns on the street front gives it a nice ambience. Made use of the massage spa facilities in the basement first night - more expensive than the cheap joints outside on the streets, but the quality is also reflected in that. You can also ask front desk for updates on Fansipan conditions - they're on a group chat with workers on the mountain - helpful before you decide whether to go up or not - it's a short walk to the train station in town. Note the mini fridge in room is more a chest box - there's no actual refrigeration per se. The kettle also has a different plug to the local power sockets but they provide you an extension cord adapter - just need to find an alternate place to use (there's no power socket in the...
Read moreI stayed just 2 days before 2025 Tet Holidays in Amazing Sapa Hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. I chose and booked “Deluxe Room with Mountain View” through tiket.com. The views from the room are breathtaking.
The staffs during my stay are really attentive and kind.
The hotel is very close to a couple of restaurants and local shops. Only 5-8 minutes walk to Sun Plaza and the Sapa square.
For those who intend to visit Mount Fansipan Peak, the hotel staff at the reception can provide hourly updates on how the weather is up at the Fansipan peak. You can check before actually going up and buy the ticket to the peak, because the weather in Fansipan peak is really really random from what I heard (sometimes clear blue skies, a bit of fog, or really foggy).
The breakfast choices are limited for me since I don't eat pork or bacon, but I enjoyed them enough. One thing that stands out in the breakfast buffet is their beef pho, which is very delicious. The hot pho soup gave great comfort during chilly morning weather in Sapa.
I should also note that I read in some advices in internet forums and also several online articles stated that Vietnam is quite ‘deserted’ a couple of days before Tet Holidays. While it is true that there are many shops closed during my 2 days stay due to Tet, but I didn’t face any difficulties in seeking foods, basic amenities in local shops, etc. I also ate beef pho at a local joint near the hotel and it was delicious. I forgot the name but I took a picture of their joint. See the below picture with ‘Pho...
Read moreI spent two amazing nights with my wife in Amazing Hotel from May 25th. Honestly, I didn't expect much because I chose this hotel based only on location and reviews without prior information. However, it was much better than I expected.
Location This hotel was quiet because it was just a little inside (30 meters?) of the noisy main road, and it was a 6-minute walk from the SunPlaza (train station), making it easy to access.
Room condition & view & breakfast The room was clean, and the view was fantastic. The first day we stayed was foggy and the second day the fog disappeared a little, with a beautiful dreamy atmosphere in both cases. It would be great if it was sunny, although we didn't see it. The breakfast was satisfactory enough, and the outdoor terrace of the restaurant was the best to enjoy the morning of Sapa.
Friendly Staffs What better than room condition and breakfast were the services of staffs. They were very kind and professional. Ms. My at reception, and Ms. Cho at restaurant, were very friendly. In particular, Mr. Tuan at the front was friendly as well and very helpful. He always tried to find what I needed and actually act to solve it.
Overall I could say it was perfect, except the rude and loud tourists who stayed in opposite room. But it's not the hotel's fault. I strongly recommend to stay at this hotel, if you have plan...
