Visited with 2 friends and we arrived quite late.
The aesthetic of the building drew us in.
James (the owner) provided us with the best possible end to our trip through Sapa.
Extremely personable and friendly, he and his staff kept our glasses and bellies full during the course of a long and super fun night/morning.
The building itself is a traditional Hmong style house -it's beautiful and contributed a lot to the atmosphere of the place.
The music got better and better as the night progressed - moving from background music during dinner hours through to the best old school hip hop, reggae and more the later it got.
Wine and food choices are perfect for a Bistro style experience. Simple, very drinkable wines and British style fare including pies and rolls.
We didn't try the beer but it seemed good.
Cocktails were above and beyond the rest of the local options. The staff are doing an excellent job of maintaining high standards and it really shined through in the cocktails which were meticulously crafted beyond what we could expect in Sapa.
James even treated us to off the menu food/drinks including blue cheese and the best Ta Meo (Hmong Rose Apple liqueur) we tried so far. He kept on bringing more and more delicious things to try until the wee hours.
To end the night he took us to a late night eatery for congee and more happy water.
As with most places, you get what you give.
With Bistro.Sapa I can only encourage you to talk with the staff and hope you can get a similar experience...
Read moreThis place is awesome!! Ate here twice and both times they killed it. They rarely hit the mark with western food in SEA in my experience, but they nailed it here. I had the Chilli con Carne pie and the burger and both were awesome. Fries looked like they could be cut in house and were well seasoned with salt. They even had real ketchup!! Awesome drink list - cocktails, local craft beer and imported staples, wine, non alcoholics, everything you’d want. Cool dudes that speak surprisingly good English gave great service. The music was a refreshing break from the club style music and remixes of 2010s songs everywhere else plays. Cool little vibe. If you need a break from the fried rice, noodles, pho, and plastic stools which I certainly did after a few months in Asia, I can’t recommend this...
Read moreI am a local. I've been here so many times. I don't remember how many times I've been here. But all have one thing in common: definitely want to come back next time. A beautiful place, really nice concept. The staff are all super friendly. I have tried most of the cocktails, they are all very good taste. You should try Jungle Bird, or White Lady will be suitable for women. You can end your party with Adios (xxx) - It's a special option in my opinion. There are many good things to say about this place. This greatness is created by the staff here and especially by James - a careful person from England. The most important thing to him is the satisfaction of you - cocktails lovers. You should really come here and experience the wonderful...
