Yolanda Jean cafe — Restaurant in Launceston

I don't want to give this place a bad rating BUT I'd like to let the owners know of our experience. My girlfriend and I came in at about 10:30 Sunday morning. Lots of tables needed clearing and the ONE server looked so stressed was waiting on all the full tables by her self. No blame on her at all as she was doing her best. We ordered 2 coffees, a slice from the cabinet and eggs Benedict with a hash brown. The poor server was rushing around looking so stressed poor thing. I work in hospitality so i get how stressful it can be but she obviously needed some help out there. We waited over half an hour for our coffees, people who ordered take away coffees after us got theirs very quickly. After 30 mins I gotup and said "I know you are very busy but we have been waiting half an hour for our coffees." We waited a total of 45 mins for our food and we weren't advised of a wait time when sitting down. Other diners around us were waiting a long time and also were frustrated. Two times an incorrect order was taken out to another table which was my food, the server was about to take it back to the kitchen until i called out to him and said it was mine. This place obviously gets very busy so I think they need more staff and better systems in place so things run more smoothly in the kitchen and...

I have got no idea what’s wrong with the owner and the staff working there! They are rather rude. We went there asking for a table they said we don’t have a table at all, then we asked if we can wait for a table then they said no there is no table at all. We explained again if we can wait and their attitude was like “just get out of here”. We ordered food to takeaway as we were in a rush for an appointment, we ordered and paid and after paying they said the wait time for the take away is 1 hour!! (all we ordered was 2 burgers!!!!). It was quite obvious there is a hidden reason behind their attitude towards us. I asked for a refund they refunded me in cash and I asked for a bank refund they said sorry we don’t know the password for the eftpos. I asked them to ask the owner and the lady answered I am the owner. So, I hope the owner is reading this review now, your rude behaviour (for whatever other reason hidden behind it) is gonna be taken seriously and it will be reported to Fairtrade. The cash refund you gave me was also less than the bank transfer I paid which will be reported to as a dispute claim to get a full...

We were happy to come across this little gem and decided to have lunch. We had placed our order and was just chatting when a very unfortunate accident happened, I was scolded down my back with scolding water. The shock was awful, along with pain. I was quick enough to pull my blouse away from my skin, and my partner was quick to acquire a cloth with ice to hold onto my back. The staff were extremely apologetic and helpful, checking on me all the time. That was great service. I was ok, just shocked and a bit sore later on, thanks to quick thinking. We had a fantastic meal. While I did not expect to recieve a free meal, I thought I would at least get my cup of of tea on the house. Nope... I paid for our meals and drinks. Well, the meals were worth it. I feel for the young person who spilt the scolding water on me, it shook them up as well I would go back, as the food...
