Picked all the ingredients that I wanted for hot pot and chosen the hot level on the Signature Malatang soup base. I have tasted the same soup base and heat level at the same store in the city at Elizabeth St so wanted to see if it lived up to the same taste. It came out quite quick to be honest so that is kinda a bad sign and it was proven correct. It is like they haven't cook it long enough for the vegetable to go soft yet or hot enough. Then the soup base wasn't that hot either. It was not as good as the one at Elizabeth St store. The hot level was definitely not hot at all and seems like mild level. The colour wasn't red. Read moreThe soup base was nice but omg, a few of the ingredients tasted a bit chemically and one of the tofu tasted sour. I am a bit worried about getting food poisoning after eating here. Probably won’t go back here anytime soon.
