My family and I enjoy trying new places, but unfortunately, our recent visit to Schnitz in Dandenong was extremely disappointing.
My husband ordered the OMG roll and after just one bite, he realized the chicken had a strong burnt taste. We approached the same guy who took our order, and instead of offering an apology or a replacement, he told my husband to just remove the burnt part and continue eating. My husband was very hungry, so he ended up finishing his roll despite the unpleasant taste.
As for my roll (photo attached), it tasted just as burnt. Since there were many people waiting for their orders at the counter, we didn’t want to make a scene or embarrass the staff in front of others. So we politely asked the same staff member to come over to our table. This is where the truly unprofessional attitude showed itself — he simply said it was “just the edges of the chicken and a bit of onion” that were burnt, ignoring the actual issue with the food's quality.
Not once did we receive a proper apology or a respectful response. In the end, they only refunded us $10 — half the cost of my meal.
The way this situation was handled was completely unprofessional and unacceptable for any customer-facing business. We've never felt so disrespected at a restaurant in Melbourne.
The only slightly positive point was that the kids’ meal was fine. But we’re definitely never...
Read moreOrdered a Parma and a portion of fries whilst on my break from work and it's pretty safe to say I enjoyed it. Fries were great, nicely cooked, fresh and seasoned well. I also enjoyed that they were big fries, a nice change of pace. The Parma was alright, I haven't had many Parmas and compared to the ones I have had, this one was pretty nice. The portion was acceptable for the price, it was crispy and covered well in sauce and cheese. My only complaint would be that it wasn't seasoned that well. I enjoyed the cup of sauce, the man at the front recommended it to me and it met my expectations. Sufficiently creamy and tangy, with a tasteful combination of flavours like tomato, sweet chilli and mayo. The guy at the front was patient, and presented a halal certificate when I asked for it. Helped me find a dish that would work for me. The price was a bit steep, 18.80 for a Parma, a portion of fries and a small cup of sauce. Environment is pretty nice, modern and up to date. Although it was quite small and could come across as cramped, I could work with it. However, I sat outside and the chairs outside were very uncomfortable and gave me tailbone pain. Wait time was about 20 minutes, which isn't too bad. Overall, I enjoyed this place, even though the price was a little bit bad. 8.0 for...

This time my wife is put off by the taste of burnt when I kindly asked the same staff member to approach our table so we don't bother other customers,as he approached we explained again that this is not ok and he said that it is only the edges of the chicken, onion that is affected. My partner at that stage didn't want to finish half that was left, here where the sad part is the stuff member was trying to offer to us a drink of some sort not for a second this guy was apologetic he ended up giving us 10 dollars half of wife's meal's refund.
