Dutch Pancakes — Local services in Melbourne

The saucy toppings are cheap/fake versions of chocolate and strawberry etc. The jam and cream are alright, handy to have the option of having Nutella on the side. Customer service from most of the staff is friendly enough, just the one older lady who is there is quite rude. Someone else in the Google reviews remarked that she looks drug affected. The last time I was there was over the weekend. When it was my turn to make my order, I was trying to tell her the order and she was rolling her eyes and sighing in an exaggerated manner so as to make it obvious she was annoyed waiting for me. After my number was called, I said thank you to her after she gave me my last set of pancakes and she just grunted "yeah" in response. This wasn't the first time I've been there and the same lady has provided poor customer service. Despite my kids enjoying the pancakes here, I think this was the last straw for me and I won't go there to support her small business again. Hopefully either the owners change or another Dutch pancakes stall opens...

Dutch pancakes at QVM is a family tradition, but this time we were left really disappointed. We raved about this place to our international visitors, then had to apologise for the food. Firstly, no cream, no strawberries, even though both these items are advertised. The pancakes were bland and flavourless. We got caramel sauce which only covered the top few pancakes not all of them. We paid for flavour and didn't get any. I hope this is not the way this business plans to move forward. I'm sure the previous owners who set up this institution provided training, but clearly the current owners have decided to cut corners. Went to QVM on Saturday and noticed the massive line for the American Doughnuts but no line for the Dutch Pancakes, so thought - hey I am Dutch so give them a try....bad mistake. There was no line at the Dutch Pancakes for a reason. Absolutely terrible!!!! Overpriced $8! Really??? And they tasted like bland rubber. Clearly positioning themselves as a quick option to the American Doughnuts! Let me tell you, don't go there....don't waste you money. Either wait for the Doughnuts or walk on by. Don't deserve to be in business. Absolutely disgusting. Wish there was a negative star rating because...
