Title: Disappointing Experience with Emirates at Dubai Airport
I recently traveled with my two young children on an Emirates flight from Dubai to Melbourne. Unfortunately, due to my children being unwell, we arrived at Terminal 3, counter 602, one hour and ten minutes before our flight—later than usual but still with some time before departure.
While I understand that airlines have policies regarding late check-ins, the way we were treated by the supervisor was completely unprofessional. Instead of assisting us or offering a reasonable solution, he spoke to us in a rude and disrespectful manner, even using inappropriate language in front of my children. This was humiliating and unnecessary.
To make matters worse, despite our willingness to find a solution, we were forced to pay an additional AU$2500 to be rebooked on the next flight. Additionally, Emirates staff opened our baggage and discarded some of our clothes, claiming they were excess weight—when in reality, they were not.
This experience left a very negative impression, especially given Emirates’ reputation for excellent customer service. Read moreI think just okay, but it’s only because I am ruined by the DXB Emirates flag ship lounge. But I’d say it’s definitely one of the better airport lounges in Melbourne airport. I find the food offerings aren’t as high as DXB lounge, but definitely better than the other lounges I went to in Melbourne airport.
