Firstly, the food is way overpriced even for an airport, considering how basic the quality is.
Secondly, the two young fellas at the counter are absolutely hopeless. Asked if there were sesame seeds on the breakfast bun and he proceeded to read out the ingredients in the burger. I asked him to ask the kitchen to answer my query.
Coffees took forever. Rude barista who just pointed at the coffee for us to pick up. We were given the wrong coffees.
Food took half an hour when it wasn’t busy. Saw the food was lining up at the counter and the third young lad who was on his break had to get up and continue serving because despite his efforts, he couldn’t get either of the two guys at the counter to do their job.
After our food, they brought out the right coffee with soy milk because he realised he didn’t use soy milk.
It’s not a hard job (having worked in hospitality, I will tell you it’s busy and exhausting, but not hard).
Please do better considering you’re at an airport serving people who can’t sit around for half an hour for a coffee when there’s no one...
Read moreRude service. Customer had their drink knocked over by other customer at the bar and walked away. Male bar staff refused to replace drink quoting it was policy not to replace saying he did not see it and that person could have just drunk the drink even though large spill was present. Staff said it was policy and when asked what the policy was or where the policy was did not know. Lying to a customer by a quoting policy that does not exist then being rude about it demonstrates poor training and poor customer service. I wonder what else was missing in their training ....safe handling of food or cleaning properly? As an 3rd party observer I was surprised the barman just did not offer the customer a replacement to the spilled beverage which happened to be a cheap on tap beer....bizarre way to make people want to return for a beer next time they are at the airport waiting for a flight. Taphouse time to up grade the people you employ or improve training...
Read moreAte breakfast before a 7am flight - ordered the eggs on toast, which was described as "two eggs your way". I paid for and added an additional egg knowing I wouldn't be eating for some time after. Food landed at my table with two eggs on it, and when i queried where my 3rd egg was, I got told the eggs on toast only comes with one egg. The poach on them was almost raw, but if you like the taste of vinegar you are in for a real treat. The "toast" was some floppy white sourdough that was barely warm with no butter whatsoever. When i told the waiter about the quality of the bread, his response was, "Oh yeah it's the worst bread in the world". After much debate about the number of eggs I should have got, an additional TWO eggs landed on my table after half an hour. Only get two stars for service because of their amazing generosity. Worst breakfast meal I've ever had. Would not recommend.
The photo from the online menu is definitely NOT...
