This memorial, erected in the Treasury Gardens, commemorates United States President John F Kennedy (JFK) who was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. Erected in 1965, it's in the form of a Bronze bas-relief of the head of the President and a plaque with his name and the years of his birth and death set in a granite boulder and sited in a tranquil Japanese Garden setting within the Treasury Gardens. The beautiful landscaped Japanese Gardens incorporates an ornamental lake, with waterfall feature, several fountains, and a paved area and seating.
The memorial is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Treasury Gardens with city skycrapers to the east, forming one backdrop and the Treasury buildings to the north, forming another.
One of the memorial's plaques reads: "This memorial signifies the grateful recognition by the citizens of this city for the service given by John F Kennedy as President of the United States of America...

Parking available around the gardens but...

When I queried them as to the reasons for their behaviour they insisted they were "Memorial Staff" and "destined to protect Her" (I have no idea what this second bit means). Made what would've otherwise been quite a pleasant time very unnerving. I would not recommend visiting...
