I have had an extremely bad experience in QBD today with a staff called Olivia ( she said she is the store assistant manager)
Olivia didn’t allow kids reading couples pages before purchased. She called the security and kicked the kids out! Never, ever been treated like that before, which deeply hurt kids feelings.
We spent probably 15 minutes in total in store, but Olivia came to us asked “ are you going to buy the books? This is not a library! Kids reading here may damage the books!”

It was just about repeating a word they said. And she repeated the word, as if the customer, who came from another English speaking country, can't understand...

QBD nourishes my with many book options sold to me by friendly staff. I enjoyed my experience here but I was stunned by the inclusion of 'dropbear' in the classics section, so I would love to see QBD's criteria for deciding what classics are (I am happy to sit on any advisory panels, obviously). Thank you from Nicholas 'professional book critic and prospective advisory...
