Seven Hills and Lalor Park food is wayyy better than this place. I understand their tag line is āghar jaisa khanaā but Iām sure most home food is tastier than the food served here. First of all, the staff needs training, seems like they have always only worked at a takeaway restaurant as nobody really ushers you to the tables, you literally have to ask for everything, water, napkins, cutlery, plates. We went there yesterday for early dinner and waited at the door for few mins, the staff on the floor was just busy packing Diwali hampers, there was a lot of mithai spread across tables, we got tempted and bought some, it was ok too. Then we ordered 2 x meal for 1 with 4 rotis instead of 2 rotis and rice, after a while we noticed they did not provide the sweet as printed on the poster, when we asked one of the staff members, she said itās because we gave you raita, you can get either raita or sweet, not both, we said we never asked for raita, itās not even an option on the poster, she just admitted saying yeahhh I can see itās not properly printed. We had the most average palak paneer, soya chap sabji, mix veg and malai kofta, and in the aloo paneer paratha, we couldnāt see any paneer at all. I could go past it if the paratha was tasty like seven hills, but it was as if all the food was made for western guests and honestly I know so many western people who actually prefer original Indian taste. The only good things were the rotis, mix pakora and the size of the paratha, and also the staff were very friendly. I really hope they pick up their game, after being regulars at the seven hills branch and having 3 events catered by the LP branch, we were so excited to have the new restaurant so close to us. We might return in a few months to give them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this shop for the first time today and bought some mixed sweets. While weighing them, they included the weight of the box along with the sweets ā the scale showed about 0.550g. When I pointed it out, they changed it to a takeaway box, and the weight dropped to 0.362g.
One of the owners then told me that the box itself costs $3, which really surprised me. If the packaging costs that much, customers should be informed beforehand ā not have the box weighed together with the sweets.
Iāve been to many other sweet shops, and none of them do this. It felt very unfair and misleading. They should clearly explain if thereās an extra charge for packaging instead of including it in the total sweet weight. As a first-time customer, this left a really...
