I went Tingha palace today. I ordered my favourite dim sum spinach dumplings. My auntie already ate one. I was eating the second dumpling in it. I found that the prawn inside was half cooked. Then I told a female waiter and requested to cancel it. But she asked a staff to put the dim sum in the moving trolley where the dim sum could be reheat. Because there were still two dumplings in it. When she took the dim sum back and I tried the third one, it was still not well cooked. So I requested to see the manager. But they did not tell their manager. Finally, I brought my bowl with the half cooked prawn to a male supervisor. He said that I could cancel it. But the female waiter still hesitate to do so. Few minutes later, she said that she could cancel for me. They are at fault but treated me so bad. Now I am at home and still want to vomit. Hope I am fine.

(Below review was made 2 years ago, it was also a bad experience)

I don't want to give it a star because it should be no star. But I cannot post if I did not give it a star. We have a very bad experience. The desserts are cold in the middle. We told the waiter. She said that she will re-heat the dessert again for us but not giving us a new one. But my two friends already have a bit of it. Finally they give us another new one. Another kind of custard buns, they are also cold in the middle. We just cancelled the 3 orders. Finally we paid the bill. We have 4 friends to double check the exact money. One of my friends went to the counter and paid. After a while, a waiter said that we paid $5 less. We wondered that the waiter took the money or they lost few coins, because we all four people remembered there are $5 dollars in gold coins and two $0.5. One of us just paid $5. But it was a very bad experience. I know that the service there is always bad. But it is a bad experience for all of us (12 people). Some of us are first time to go there and they said that they will not go there anymore. Let the owner know the bad services of...

Vincent Vincent Vincent...… You are not the manager you think you are!

My last experience we waited 45 minutes to get a table and once we were seated you had the audacity to tell my family we had only one hour.

I questioned you and pointed to a table of Chinese and asked you if you had told them that they had an hour to eat. Your face gave me your answer. Uhm mm Vincent I believe this maybe racist.

I believe you should not hold the position of Manager, as you have run down this restaurant whilst under your stewardship, You have become very complacent.

Your Yum Cha Staff speaks zero English The quality of your food has diminished Your selection of food has diminished, You put tea on the table without asking if we want them and when they sit there untouched you then charge us for it. The carpets have a pungent smell to it. The carts are dirty. The waiters handle plates, knives, forks in a unhygienic manner. Your bathrooms smell like urine.

I hate to think if this is what we are experiencing on the floor in relation to extremely poor standards, What the hell is going on inside the kitchen!!!

I strongly believe Parramatta Council Health & Building Department should be visiting your Pathetic establishment, as I would imagine you would be closing your door until further Notice.

Also I would like to see the government Department "Fairwork" Investigate you regarding employee's wages as I would bet my house that you are paying these people under the award.

Kind...

Extremely Disappointing Mother’s Day Experience.

Our Mother's Day evening was completely ruined by an unacceptable dining experience. We had a 5:30 PM reservation and were only the second table seated in the restaurant. Our first dish arrived at 5:45 PM, which was reasonable. However, from that point forward, the service was terrible.

By 6:20 PM, with no additional dishes in sight, we inquired about the rest of our order. We were told someone would check—but nothing happened. After waiting another 20 minutes, only one more dish arrived, and another 2 staff members casually remarked they were "busy," with no apology or acknowledgment of the delay.

Meanwhile, we watched 5–6 other tables who arrived after us receive their meals—one of them even finished eating and left—while we were still waiting for our second dish. After waiting a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes with no resolution, we made the decision to leave. Still, there was no apology, no explanation, and to top it all of, we were charged in full without any acknowledgment of the poor service.

The staff were disinterested, unsympathetic, and completely unprofessional. We will absolutely not be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this place if they value their time and experience. A special occasion was completely ruined by...

It's my go to yum cha place! The food is always great, big servings and really tasty! We always over order because there is just too much delicious food to eat haha! It's always great to sit and chat while eating good food. I would certainly recommend: the har gow (shrimp/ prawn dumplings), siu mai (pork dumplings), fung zao (chicken feet), lo bak go (turnip cake) cheung fun (rice noodle rolls with prawn or beef), gam cin tou (steamed black bean beef tripe), ham sui gok (fried glutinous rice dumplings with pork) and black bean and garlic steamed spare ribs. And for dessert: lao sa bao (molten egg custard buns) and mango pancakes It's less busy on the weekdays, but if you decide to go on the weekends, expect at least 20-30mins+ wait. They open at 11am on the weekends so either arrive 10:45am to line up or earlier to beat the lunch rush, or arrive around 2pm after the lunch rush. They close at 3pm for yum cha and reopen at 5:30pm for dinner. Would 100% recommend eating at!

They are dishonest and misleading the customer. On the menu it said King Prawn with White Bait but I saw zero prawn in the dish. My 6 years old son wanted to eat some prawns so I ordered this $40 dish called "King Prawn with White Bait". When it was up there was no prawn at all, only fried white bait and squid were there. My son liked fried stuff and he was hungry so we let him eat first, and mentioned it to a lady that the name of the dish was misleading. She said her English was not good enough and asked a guy (seemed to be the supervisor). The guy said this dish should be 2 choices out of 3 (prawn, white bait and squit) and we should have mentioned it to the waitress when ordering. Again this was complete nonsense, I saw nothing but trying to fool me. Advice to the restaurant: If you don't want to serve prawn, don't put it on the menu.
