We booked some vouchers for a nice meal to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary, the food was lovely and the staff were really friendly. When we got the bill we were aware that any alcoholic drinks purchased would have to be paid for as those weren't covered in the voucher but instead we were surprised when given the full bill and told that we had been ordering off the wrong menu (the main menu instead of the smaller one for vouchers). We would've been more than happy ordering off the smaller menu had we know that that was the menu we were supposed to have but we weren't aware there was a separate menu and we were given the wrong one. As we couldn't refund the vouchers we asked if we could just pay the difference. This caused a massive back and forth, eventually involving the manager. She then stated that the vouchers were supposed to have been photographed on the way in with the correct menu given and that our booking had been logged as a walk in and not a reservation, which we were confused at as we thought the system already had details of our booking. This is because, at the main entrance we stated we had a reservation and we were happily seated with no mention of a walk in being noted, also we had no idea of the photograph policy and nothing was mentioned during the booking process or on the confirmation email and therefore we didn't push about it at the main entrance (as we thought the system already had all the details of our booking). We finally managed to just pay the difference but the whole situation ruined the night leaving us all flustered and highly upset. I believe that neither party was directly in the wrong and instead instructions had not been clearly communicated creating confusion and more hassle than necessary. I would recommend placing a sign at the main entrance stating all vouchers are required to be photographed and/or stating in bold and clear lettering on the booking that the vouchers need to be photographed as a different menu will be assigned and if given the main menu it is incorrect and should be returned for the menu...
Read moreWhen I arrived at the restaurant, there was a problem with my reservation. Despite this, the lady at the check-in was extremely kind and helpful. She went out of her way to assist me, finding a table within 20 minutes. Her professionalism and positive attitude really stood out, and I was impressed by how she handled the situation so efficiently.
Unfortunately, the experience took a turn for the worse when I returned to be seated. The man who escorted me to the table was curt and unfriendly, which made me feel uncomfortable from the start. Once seated, I waited for 30 minutes, but no one came to take my order. Several male waiters passed by my table repeatedly, but none of them stopped. I even tried to flag down a bald waiter to place my order, but he told me to wait in a dismissive tone.
Frustrated, I decided to go to the bar to ask for help, but the response was even worse. Another male staff member got upset with me and shouted that orders couldn’t be placed at the bar, telling me to go back to my table. This behavior, combined with the 30-minute wait and the overall lack of attention from the male waiters, was unacceptable. They seemed completely disinterested in serving customers, laughing and joking amongst themselves instead of doing their job. Their rude and unprofessional attitude made me feel very unwelcome.
In the end, I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to leave. It’s truly disappointing because the lady at the check-in had been wonderful and created such a positive first impression. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff did not uphold the same standard of service.
This version provides a clear and concise explanation of the situation, highlighting the excellent service from the check-in staff and contrasting it with the poor behavior of the...
Read moreHold onto your guitar picks, fellow rock enthusiasts! The Hard Rock Cafe Vienna just blew my socks off faster than a Jimi Hendrix solo! After the life-altering experience at Hard Rock Cafe Malaga, I thought I'd reached the pinnacle of rock-and-roll dining. But Vienna? It's like comparing a ukulele to a flaming electric guitar!
From the moment I strutted in, I was hit with a wave of rock nostalgia so powerful, I swear I saw Elvis flip burgers in the kitchen[1]. The staff welcomed me like I was the long-lost member of Queen, probably mistaking my air guitar skills for the real deal[3].
The food? Oh mama, it was a symphony of flavors that would make even the pickiest rock god weep with joy[4]. Each bite of my burger was like a face-melting guitar riff, and the fries? Let's just say they were crunchier than Keith Richards after a long night.
The atmosphere was so electric, I'm pretty sure my hair stood on end the entire time. The memorabilia on the walls started head-banging of its own accord[2]. And don't even get me started on the cocktails – they packed more punch than a drummer on a caffeine bender.
To my doubting friends: if you still question the supremacy of Hard Rock Cafe after this, you might as well admit you prefer elevator music to rock anthems. Vienna has officially dethroned Malaga as the ultimate shrine to all things rock. Long live the Hard...
