Looking for something light and healthy we made way to Soup just off Markt on Hallestraat and had really good bowls of soup for lunch recently. Opening hours are 11am to 3.30pm daily (closed on Wednesdays)

Unfortunately indoor seating is limited, they pack tables a bit tightly inside Soup. There are a handful of tables on the outside of Soup as well. They also have an open window to the outside and sell take-away cups of soup for those who want to continue browsing the beautiful streets of Bruges.

Wall menu above the order counter shows 4-5 vegetarian soup including a few regular and 1-2 daily options. Soups are served with bread, small amount of croutons and cheese. You can also combo order choosing from a small selection of panini as well.

During our lunch, we tried the pumpkin soup which was very good and the vegetable mix soup which was about as delicious a vegetable soup as I can recall having in quite a few years. We both really loved this one. The Zelda and Feta panini served with the soups both were good as well, making for a filling healthy lunch combination, one we'd happily return for again during future...

Soup is an absolutely wonderful place where we had the most spectacular soup. The lady who served us felt like a caring mother, making sure every detail was perfect and that we were comfortable. Honestly, it’s one of the best places I’ve ever been to. What makes it even more special is how rare it is to find good vegetarian options in Belgium—yet here, everything tastes homemade, fresh, and full of love.

The atmosphere is cozy and warm, making it the perfect stop after exploring the beautiful streets of Bruges. The value is amazing too: the lunch menu gives you a hearty soup, fresh bread with croutons, and even a piece of fruit for a very fair price.

It’s a small, charming spot with limited seating, but that just adds to its unique character. The friendliness, quality, and attention to detail truly set it apart. A hidden gem that I would recommend to anyone...

We loved this place so much, that we came here for lunch twice during our trip to Bruges. They have a lovely little patio where you can sit outside under an umbrella, or you can sit inside where there’s maybe four or five tables. The soup is served piping hot, and full of flavor. For €9, you get a big bowl of soup, some bread, butter, croutons, shredded cheese, and a little piece of fruit. For €14.50 you get all that plus a half Panini. there’s also option to order a local beer too if you’d like with your soup. Depending on what language you speak, most staff speak several languages, including English, Dutch, French….
