Don't bother with buying Ski Big3 lift tickets, it is much cheaper to buy the mountain card from the ski resort or from costco and ama. My 1st and only experience with Big3 adult ski 3 day within 5 day ticket was terrible as it only worked 2 out of 3 days as opposed to 3 that is advertised.
The ticket failed to scan at Lake Louise for the 3rd visit on the 5th day. As I mentioned the problem to Steve the manager, he refused to resolve the problem. The ticket was obtained from a multiple stranger organized tour group, and unless we go through the trouble to bother multiple people to trace down the exact original purchaser, they wouldn't help us. The hours i spent on calling and emailing them has already exceeded the value of the ticket.
The customer service at Sunshine and Lake Louise has no idea how to check the status of the ticket nor resolve any issue for you on site. When I called both the Ski Big 3's 403 and 1-844 number to check the status of the pass (after using 2 out of 3 days), four agents reports different status to me (some said it is valid, some said it is never used, and some said the ticket is not recognizable). Read moreDo not rent equipment through skibig3 unless you are a beginner and don’t care about being treated with respect. Not only do the other rental shops have less worn in boots and skis, but the highest flex they offer for women is 70. Most rental shops have 85/90 flex options bc 70 is beginner level. When I told them I needed more control they offered me a 120 flex boot without telling me it was a men’s boot. Not only was the flex too high but the extra length on a man’s boot totally wrecked my calves and caused me pain for the rest of my trip. I asked if I can cancel my last 2 days of rentals as they did not have any variety of options and the head office refused and told me that they “offer a broad range of equipment to suit a variety of needs” and that I “had several requirements for a satisfactory fit”. I simply asked for a boot higher than a 70 flex. The customer service is horrible and the staff at the shop clearly don’t have much knowledge on ski equipment. I’ve rented at several mountains and never had such a...
Read moreSki Big 3 is awesome. We booked our family ski trip to Banff this year using Ski Big 3 not knowing what to expect. We decided to hire private instructors for our three days on the mountain to maximize our experience. This was the best decision we could have made. Brent our ski instructor, Carlo and Matt our Snowboard instructors were incredible. What amazing people and awesome professionals. I had not been skiing since 2013 when I broke my leg in 9 places attempting a blue run. When I arrived for our first day of skiing , I was terrified but having Brent there to help me along gave me the confidence I needed to get back out on the slopes. I can not thank him enough for this. Carlo taught our kids how to snowboard. They are still talking about how awesome he was. Matt picked up where Carlos left off. Again, amazing instructor. If you are on the fence about adding private instruction to your vacation, DO IT!! It will be so worth it! We will be back again! Thank...
