This has to be one of the most awful tourist traps in Banff. There was not a large selection of chocolates but enough to pick from for myself and my family members who were with me. The pieces are very expensive. I paid a little over $50 for only 8 pieces of chocolate. It was my choice to pay this inflated price, thinking that the chocolates taste and quality would be magnificent. It wasnāt. The centre of the Peanut Butter Cups were dry and the chocolate was brittle with little flavour. Certainly not worth the $7 price per piece. Reeseās peanut butter cups tasted better. The Bombs were not very flavourful. The centre of the Raspberry Cheesecake Bombs had no cheesecake flavour whatsoever, although the raspberry flavour did come through. But $5.50 for one single Bomb? Outrageous. I cannot comment on the other pieces because they were given to family members. There were no other customers in the store....
Ā Ā Ā Read more11/5 stars if I could ā The shop was clean and well organized. The lady working there Abbey gave us an enthusiastic tour of the store. Very knowledgeable and went into depth when answering questions. Abbey went above and beyond when she showed the kiddos how the chocolate was made. She got out a little stepstool so our youngest could see the chocolate wheel AND THEN she gave them all a sample of the melted chocolate. Her recommendations for the cookies and cream bomb, and avalanche rocky ridge were amazing!! They even had little bear shaped chocolates that the kids went crazy for. At checkout she wrote out a little itinerary of places we absolutely must see before leaving the bow valley. Overall a spectacular experience. Next time we're in Banff this shop will be our...

This particular chocolate shoppe looked promising. They had a reasonably large selection, some looked quite unique and well done. When we stepped in, they offered us a small sample. It was a tasty bit of maple fudge.
We ended up getting a couple of large Toffee Peanut Butter Cups. We ate them later, back on the bus, and honestly, they were a bit disappointing. The chocolate was way to thick for my tastes. But the filling itself was good. My suggestion? Spend more time knocking the chocolate out of the molds before letting them set.
The staff person who assisted us was super friendly...
