The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre — Local services in Banff

The workers are fantastic inside the building. That being said, the Fenlands as a whole needs to stop these uncivilized visitors from using the parking lot as their toilet. Every day there are more and more piles of human feces in the grass all around the parking lot. The grass is not your toilet. The park is NOT your toilet. If you cannot hold your poop inside your body until you find an appropriate receptacle, a.) You should not be travelling far from your home and b.) They sell diapers for adults, wear some. It is always the same demographic of people "relieving" themselves with no care, it is not hard to monitor and crack down on. This may be acceptable behaviour where you came from, but this is not acceptable behaviour where you are. These people should be fined, shamed off of the property and out of the park, enough is enough....

We had our wedding here in July. The concourse area is beautiful with a wood beam roof and very large windows. Overall our wedding went well and the bartenders were lovely. Having them set up the tables and chairs ahead of our booking time was very helpful. I also appreciated that we didn't have to clean anything (only had to remove our own items).

Planning this wedding with the Fenlands was somewhat chaotic as they had changed catering companies and had a new bartending service start. There were many emails back and forth with the facility booking administrator trying to figure everything out. This included up until days before our wedding when he started asking us for things that he had already received or asking to clarify plans that should have been firmed up months ago. We held all of our wedding festivities in the Banff Fenlands Concourse room, where the windows are tall and spread across making the wooded and mountainous Banff view, our stunning backdrop. The meadow just outside was a great addition to the space to take photos and just to get some fresh air throughout the event. They provided the bartending services and it made it easier for us, as a sober couple to not have to worry about the alcohol aspect of things. We also rented one of their meeting rooms, where we could store things during and over-night making it convenient to be able to clear things out the following day.
