I am a disabled person, suffer from chronic edema and arthritis making it very hard for me to walk. I can walk very short distance but only using walker or 2 canes. Even so I have a fear of falling and if I do I'm not strong enough to get up. I went to this Walmart location Feb 3, 2018 with my sister, her husband and their 21 year old daughter. Normally I would take a scooter or my wheel chair but since store had scooters and wanted to save my sister and brother in law the hassle of loading and unloading my scooter into their SUV I went without. My BIL went into store and brought out scooter for me. On our way out with the scooter cart full of purchases I was stopped by greeter and firmly told scooter could not go out. How am I suppose to get my purchases to car I asked, told you go out same way you came in. It was cold, wet and icy out and their parking lot was slippery. Plus my BIL car was parked very first spot directly across Walmart doors. So resigned to fact I now had to walk I tell greeter that I can't really walk and she coldly tells me "well that's your problem" No concern of the slippery parking lot, my not being able to walk or even offering assistance, no a cold and hurtful "well that's your problem" is what I got. My sister and niece were thrown back by that statement, my sister responding with well God Bless you that you can walk, you're lucky but my sister was not as lucky at all. No response or apology from Lilian the greeter. So warning those with any disability this is not the store you want to shop in at all. I've also always questioned why the bathrooms they provide have the handicapped stalls at the furthest end. We who cannot walk well and fear falling have the farthest to walk if we want to use their facilities. ...

Read moreIt's got a little bit of everything you need in the area. You have a Walmart, a Winners, a Mark's Work Warehouse, plus some places for fast food to ease the hunger. If that's not enough, you have a Canadian Tire, a Home Depot, a Giant Tiger and a Bed Bath and Beyond all within a stone's throw from each other. And, more places for food in a small radius. To me, it's a win-win situation every time. The only down side is that the area can get a little congested with traffic during the rush hour drive as both Queen Street and Airport Road are major arteries...
