I worked at Holy Shakes for a very short time, and my experience was disappointing from the start. I was put directly into shifts without any training, which left me confused about where things were or how to perform tasks properly. My only coworker, Komal, was extremely rude and uncooperative. Despite being a trainee, I received no guidance or support from her. Instead, she constantly shouted at me in front of customers, which created an uncomfortable and hostile work environment. On more than one occasion, she told me to “shut up and stand in a corner,” which was both disrespectful and humiliating. I eventually decided to leave because of her behavior, but when I brought it up with the owner, he was dismissive and questioned why I didn’t speak up sooner, suggesting it was my fault for letting her bully me. After leaving, I spoke with a couple of former employees who had worked at other Holy Shakes locations, and they shared similar experiences of a toxic work culture. Unfortunately, it seems this isn't an isolated issue, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here. While I understand that not all Indian-owned businesses are like this, experiences like mine with Komal contribute to the negative reputation some of them have.
