Aha I see the screw up fairy has visited us again Would give this place negative stars if I could. Had the worst customer service ever. All the employees were so rude. We came here because it was the first ice cream shop we happened upon from our hotel and my little cousin wanted ice cream. When we entered the store, no one was there to help us with anything so my uncle called to get someone's attention, and after a few times with absolutely no response, and exasperated lady came out to answer. Later, the guy scooping the ice cream rushed my little cousin to choose a flavor, even though there were only like two other people in the store besides us. Then, when she decided at the last minute she didn't want the flavor, this was before he even scooped it and was due to the fact that we realized she was allergic to an ingredient in that flavor, he sighed super loudly, slammed the poker chip which was used to buy the ice cream on the counter, and rudely told us to get him once we made a decision before leaving. When we called him back, he rudely said Are you finally ready this time If you can't take take the time to be nice to your customers, you shouldn't open up a ice cream shop or any place that requires customer service at all, especially in a tourist town. Everyone here was as useless as the ueue in the queue, had one since the store was as empty as satan's heart. No place has ever left a worst taste in my mouth, and I'm not just talking about their mediocre ice cream. Would not recommend to anybody; the terrible customer service and lackluster ice cream has left such a repulsive image of the store in my head. in all, this was a terrible experience and probably the worst part of our entire trip. If you ever come here, do yourself a favor and go to one the other ice cream stores in this otherwise beautiful town. I'm sure they're all lovely, and their customer service could not possibly be any worse...

🚫 1/5 — Outrageously Rude and Discriminatory Service

This was hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. The staff at this ice cream shop were not just rude—they were blatantly disrespectful, and their behavior seemed deliberately targeted toward certain customers. It was appalling to witness.

The manager, who appeared to be Chinese, was overheard telling staff not to assist people waiting in line. That’s not just bad service—it’s discriminatory and unacceptable. Customers were ignored, rushed, and denied the chance to explore options. The staff were pushy, impatient, and made it clear that some people simply weren’t welcome.

I left feeling insulted and deeply disappointed. No one should be treated this way, especially in a city as diverse and inclusive as Vancouver. There are countless other ice cream shops that offer great service and treat people with basic respect—this is absolutely not one of them.

Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not just...

Very disappointing experience. The owner was extremely rude and lacked even the basics of good customer service. She rushed us while we were trying to choose from the menu, making the entire experience feel unpleasant and pressured—like we were just being pushed to spend quickly rather than enjoy our time. The owner seemed to treat customers unfairly, and the experience felt discriminatory. That kind of behaviour is not acceptable in Canada and should be addressed.I hope the business takes this seriously and improves how customers are treated.

We used to run a Menchie’s ice cream store in Edmonton ourselves, and we always believed in giving customers time and space to make their choices comfortably. Unfortunately, that kind of service was clearly missing here.

Her argumentative attitude was so off-putting that I didn’t even feel like having the ice cream afterward. Owning a store also means knowing how to treat people with respect and patience—something that sadly seems to be...

Alright so everyone's complaints are accurate. Their tasting policy is dumb. You should be able to sample more than one flavor. That being said, the ice cream is good and there's a lot of variety. If you don't like the first thing you sample, hopefully you're good at guessing on the second try. I got white chocolate raspberry as a sundae with caramel and butterscotch sauce and my husband got caramel cashew toffee as a sundae with caramel and butterscotch sauce. Both were delicious. Mine had almost a cheesecake taste. I probably wouldn't do a sundae next time because I don't think a couple squirts of sauce is worth $1.50. If you're looking for good ice cream with unique flavors, come here.

If you trying to decide where to get a ice cream while visiting Jasper I would definitely suggest Scoops & Loops. I live in Jasper and have tried all the locations and out of all the places in this town they have always been consistent with very generous portions, quality and great flavours. The atmosphere is nice and laid back. It’s very family friendly and the owners are some of the nicest people you will meet. We really love their ice cream, It’s definitely mashiso (delicious)! 😊

Walked in with the kids, a pretty big selection. Ice Cream is commercial quality but the biggest problem and the reason for two stars is the service. Terrible. Kids wanted to taste a couple of flavors, they were told they could only taste ONE. There was ZERO lineup, so no justification for that. Then they asked to split flavors in a scoop and were told that there's an extra charge. Instead of $3.75, then $4.75. In short, RUN AWAY!
