Simply amazing ; this is a 2 parts review

I took class 1 of chocolate workshop. What a fantastic experience. You get to learn about the cocoa bean from its raw form and to turning them into chocolate. You get to try cocoa pulp concentrate. It reminded me of mangosteen - which is very tasty. Kayoko sensei also made cold brew cocoa shell tea. I like it. It's like drinking cocoa flavoured water.

Bring something to write some notes if you want to keep it for later on. However, there isn't much that need to draw down.

The chocolate making is very hands-on. Suggest you to bring an apron - it may get messy. So, don't wear your fancy night out clothing. Suggest to wear something loose and comfy. Because you will be moving! However, do dress somewhat presentable if you are planning to take some photos 😊. Trust me - you will be attractive looking when you are making the chocolate

I came in on a winter day. It's quite chilly inside the room. Do wear extra layer. I'm fortunate enough to have odd number of class that day. I get to challenge the chocolate making process just by myself. While others get to do it in pair. Kayoko Sensei was nice enough to offer me a hand and gave me an electrical blender as a way to cheat 😂. But, I decided to go full manuel. At the end, it's worth it.

When it comes to compare and tasting ; I like the other team, Beish chocolate more because I like the fruity note. My, Guatemala, has a smoky note.

Now to the part 2 of my review, the chocolates that Coconama sells. They are awesome! I got their recommended popular flavours ; Mango, Earl Grey Tea, Dark Chocolate, Tiramisu.

Oh man, even though they are pricy but I think they are worth a try. Every single bite is like a dense, flavourful explosion that melts in your mouth. My personal fav is the earl grey because i think it's the most balance of the four. I don't like chocolate that's too sweet. I thought i would like the dark chocolate, but the earl grey and the other 2 flavours are just more fun

All of the chocolates do look and taste like how they describe. They really go it dial down. Im simply amazed... 🤯

Kayoko and the team are super friendly and nice. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask Kayoko sensei! She does speak kind of quietly though,...

One of the best customer service experiences I have had!

I made an online order for the 18 value pack set as a Christmas gift in mid December 2021. After processing my order I later discovered I actually had the option of custom selecting which flavor combinations I wanted for my 18 choices.

I sent a message through their website apologizing for my mistake and asked if it was too late to make changes to my order.

"Taka" the owner, then actually personally texted me from his home after his work shift that evening to inform me that it would be fine and there was NO penalties for this adjustment.

So despite this being my error, Taka readjusted my order with no issue.

On top of that, though I mentioned to him the order was not a rush and could be delivered at their convenience, he actually delivered my order the next day!

The truffles are unique little flavor bombs and the 18 pack is a pretty good deal considering you get 10 pieces each out of 18 assorted flavors and they are produced in house in this boutique little artisan factory.

You can tell how passionate Taka is about chocolate just by checking out his website and reading about all the information he provides on this subject.

I highly recommend taking a look at the Coconama website and support a small local business that really cares about their customers and the special products...

During my recent visit to the O-Hanami Festival at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, I had the pleasure of stopping by the Coconama Chocolate booth. Despite the booth being busy, the staff were welcoming and helpful, allowing me to sample some of their chocolates.

I tried the Passion Fruit, Green Tea, and Cherry Blossom flavored chocolates, and I was blown away by the quality of the product. Each chocolate was expertly crafted, and I could taste the uniqueness of each flavor. The passion fruit was refreshingly tangy, the green tea was subtly sweet, and the cherry blossom was delicately fragrant. I would highly recommend all of them.

The staff at Coconama Chocolate were knowledgeable and approachable, providing me with helpful information about their chocolates. The experience was fantastic, and I regret not purchasing more chocolates to take home with me, especially the passion fruit!

My first impression of Coconama was fantastic. The chocolates are of the highest quality, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a unique and delicious chocolate experience, I highly recommend stopping by Coconama Chocolate. Whether you're a chocolate connoisseur or just looking for a tasty treat, Coconama will...

Coconama offers some of the most exceptional chocolates I have ever tasted in Vancouver. Their chocolates are crafted with the finest ingredients, resulting in a fresh, rich, and smooth flavor profile. I highly recommend sampling their diverse selection, as each chocolate is uniquely delicious. Furthermore, for those interested in learning the art of chocolate making, I highly suggest their class. The owners, Taka and Kayako, are incredibly knowledgeable and generous in sharing their expertise. Thank you so much Coconam and please continue to create wonderful chocolates to connect chocolate with people!
