RESPONSE TO OWNER: Your response to my review is both defensive and offensive. My name is on my review, but your name isn't on your response. So you stalked me online. You falsely accused me of giving small businesses in Lower Lonsdale bad reviews, yet the only bad review I have given of any small business in Lower Lonsdale is for your margaritas! As a business owner, you should know that a more sophisticated and mature way for a business owner to respond to a bad review is to apologize and thank the reviewer for expressing his or her opinion. You lack customer service skills and, unfortunately for you, have revealed much more of the character of La Cerveceria Astilleros than you realize. Good luck!

MY REVIEW: Worst margarita I have ever had. I've been to Mexico at least a dozen times, married a Mexican in Mexico City, and drank a lot of margaritas. Their margaritas are a pre-made mixture of alcohol and flavouring. The incredibly sour flavouring was so overpowering that I couldn't taste any tequila. La Cerveceria's margaritas do not taste like real Mexican margaritas. An employee behind the counter stated that each of their margaritas contains 1.5 ounces of tequila. I don't believe her. My boyfriend had to buy 2 extra ounces of tequila to add to my margarita before I could taste any tequila. Worse, know that alcohol is less dense than water or other fluids, so spirits can float to the top, make a pre-made mixture's content of alcohol unmixed or inconsistent at best. Don't waste your money on their...

TLDR not enough glasses for a flight. I was very excited to visit this establishment because someone recommended it to me. I wanted to order a flight but the staff told me they were all out of flight glasses? I’ve never been to a place where they ran out of glassware. That’s like the equivalent to running out of forks and knives at a restaurant. The staff suggested we wait a bit (for a customer to finish their flight). We waited for around 15 mins and decided to leave. This was our first visit. We still wanted to come back and try out it out. So we came back again on a different day and guess what? They ran out of flight glasses(?) LOL. At that point, I found it ridiculous. My sincere recommendation would be to invest in additional flight glasses to avoid this recurring issue. I genuinely looked forward to experiencing what this place had to offer, but unfortunately, this left a poor impression. I don’t normally leave reviews but I thought this was necessary. Hopefully they will take this suggestion into consideration. If you want a pint, you’ll be fine. If you want a flight, you have to be really lucky.

Update (Oct 29): I got in contact with their team and they said they would offered me complimentary flights via giftcard. I emailed them 2 months back, and I never...

Lovely place for a girl‘s night out especially if you enjoy all of those incredible new beer blends; here there is a robust selection that will appeal to locals & visitors. La cervecería los astilleros also offers flavourful variations of Pale Ale as well. Service is neither too fast nor too slow as the friendly servers bring you your cold delicious beverage; especially if you order a flavourful taco 🌮 to accompany your beverage as they are prepared from scratch with local ingredients. If the word friendly is what was used to describe the servers above, then this is an understatement. The servers are delightful, caring & excellent hosts. This is a place you will definitely enjoy if it’s a boys night out too; if it’s a boys AND girls night out, well, the more the merrier. The beverages and snacks will definitely transport you back to your favourite vacation spot in the Yucatán. ¡Viva la cervecería astilleros! Esplanade, North...

18 months ago this was my favorite beer. I got the cans of the lime lager out in Calgary. Fresh, crisp, well flavored and the right balance of salt and lime. Unfortunately I'm guessing that they changed their recipe or the right ingredients became harder to source and the canned beer no longer tastes the same. I came here hoping against all hope that maybe, just maybe, the beer was better at the source. It's definitely better at the source, but unfortunately, the recipe has changed and it doesn't the same anymore. Don't get me wrong, this beer is still good, but I miss what I once had. Everything else: at 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon in the rain - the vibes are chill. Lots of seating. Cool people. Walk up service is quick. And the decor is right for the theme.

Really enjoy the drinks here and the fact it’s dog friendly. Nothing spectacular about the food but the drinks are worth repeating. Do you guys have an IG account? I tried tagging you in some of my posts but couldn’t geotag you.

Interesting beers. Of the ones our group tried, we liked the mango kolsch (sp?). The tacos were good, but tiny. Our lunch was really just a small snack. The flavours were good, especially in the pork tacos. However, at $4.50 for one small taco with very little filling, we wouldn't go back for them alone. The decor is bright and fresh. Everything looks new and very clean. The person who took our order was very nice and explained some of the beer varieties. So, a great place for unique beers, but if you are hungry, you would want to eat elsewhere. We were a party of 3, and we each had 3 tacos and shared 2 orders of chips and guac, and we were all still hungry. Three beers, 9 small tacos, and 2 chips - $100. So, for "cheap" food, it was very expensive.
