A couple weekends ago, we arrived to this restaurant by 6 PM. There was no line-up so we felt lucky since we did not have to wait to be seated although it was strange that there were not as many people as usual. However, as soon as we received Soondae, we found out why there's not many customers. There was pork blood missing which is the most important ingredient for Korean sausages. It is like having a pizza without cheese!!! Although there was the key ingredient missing, the restaurant did not notify the customers on the door or before they even took orders. The Vietnamese restaurant that we go to regularly, they notify the customers when they don't have Thai basil for the soup. We have been going to this restaurant ever since they opened 10+ years. How disappointing this is. We'll never return to this restaurant since the owner doesn't have a curtesy to his long-term loyal customers. As I do not want to eat pizza without cheese, it is the same with Korean soondae. I do not want to support this kind of business owners who does not respect the customers. I felt really betrayed. He can at least notify the situation on the door. In this way, you earn your credit instead of losing customers. No wonder the...

Still just as good as back 7 years ago with my review. Great food with the original menus, with a few more added dish over the years. With the amount we are getting, the price is still quite reasonable considering it's a post-covid inflation era. We went on Sunday afternoon, and had to wait for 45 minutes!
Friendly staff as usual.

The specialty of this place is the Blood Sausage Soup and the Grilled Intestine, and these two dishes is the reason why this place exists. It tastes amazing, and it seems to bring out the memories of home country. A lot of Koreans come here to eat, from students to the elders.
On weekends, there could be line ups because the place is really small and they don't take reservations. It can be a hassle. You can see number of Koreans coming all the way from Coquitlam or by Seabus, just to eat this! Luckily I live around the neighbourhood so don't have to take as much effort to come here. I think I go here often only because my friends from other neighbourhoods always beg me to go there. They also do take-outs.
Quite an authentic Korean dish you can try as a foreigner! I recommend!
p.s. there's another one in Coquitlam but some say it's not as good as the N...
Read moreIt’s a good place to go if you’re Korean I guess.
Went with my girlfriend on a Saturday night and waited 45+ minutes. I noticed that they let some Korean girls (who came 10 mins later than us) in before us. We confronted them about it and they said that we’d be next. Then, after awhile, the waitress went and almost let a pair of Korean guys in ahead of us until we made a fuss. We were sitting literally next to the door and the waitress just glossed over us.
The food was pretty good. My girlfriend was more adventurous and tried the Blood Sausage and Organ soup. Not my kinda thing but the blood sausage wasn’t bad. I had the stir fried pork on a hot plate which was pricey but a comprehensive (had veggies, meat, and rice) amount of food for two people. We had to ask for refills on our side dishes but the other Korean guys after us got theirs filled for free...
I suppose they don’t really need to cater to other people since the place was packed with Koreans unlike Maru. Maybe it’s better to go on a weekday? Since they seem to be open pretty...
