I wish, I could give a zero. I had a very upsetting experience at this gift shop. While I was there near buy a restaurant with my family so I thought, I should buy a souvenir for friends and relatives.I observed the cashier warmly greeting every customer—except me. The only difference? I’m Indian. When I approached the counter, there was no greeting, no eye contact, nothing. Just cold silence. It was impossible to ignore the obvious difference in how I was treated compared to the non-Indian customers before me. When my sister asked for a bag, he bluntly said "no." Yet just minutes earlier, he gave a bag to a non-Indian customer without hesitation. To make things worse, the cashier didn’t even bother to give me a receipt. My sister had to ask for it, and even then, the interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable. Discrimination—whether subtle or blatant—has no place in customer service. Every customer deserves to be treated with basic respect and courtesy, regardless of their background. I’m extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Management needs to seriously address how customers are being...
Read moreWish I could give this zero stars. Went in for 5 minutes, was looking at the products, then got an important text and had to reply (took two seconds). During this, guy at the cash register who acted like he was the greatest came over and yapped about my friend and I being on our phones (mind you, it’s been 3 seconds), starts getting extremely pissy, accuses us of ordering an uber (we didn’t) and not waiting outside when it was cold as hell, and told us that we were standing around in ‘his’ store for 10 minutes on our phones (a blatant lie). Literally kicked two teenagers out of ‘his’ store for seemingly no reason (being on our phones? Not buying anything even though it wouldn’t make sense because I was literally looking at the products?) Either way, don’t come here, or just go to the stores next door. That guy had some...
Read moreI recently visited Bayward with a friend, and we had an unfortunate experience. We were thirsty and bought two bottles of water. When my friend paid, she realized that the cashier had charged her $33 instead of the correct amount. She pointed out the overcharge and showed the receipt, after which the cashier refunded only $25. After we left, we realized that she was still owed $4. When we returned to the store to address this, the cashier refused to give the remaining amount and declined our request to check the camera footage. And said come back tomorrow but we were leaving the same day.
I would advise future customers to double-check their receipts to avoid similar issues. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this store due to the lack of honesty and poor...
