Nikolaou Restaurant Equipment — Local services in Toronto

Niko is my bestie, I respect him a lot. I had been renting my flat for the last five years, paying over $800 a month for it. Now that I had just found out about my cancer, my wife and I had to find a new place to live, and quickly. It was a Wednesday, and my wife was going out for the evening to meet her friends for dinner. That meant I was going to have to get in some serious couch-hopping, with one of my friends borrowing the furniture from my family.

I could not get the dreaded furniture store to open on a Wednesday, even though the store was very close to my apartment building. I tried phoning several times that morning, but all I got was a message telling me the store was closed and I could call back the next day. The couch was our biggest purchase we had ever made as a married couple, and I was worried that we would not be able to get our money back if we did not buy it from them.

Of course,...

We’ve been baking more during the lock-down and wanted new pans, whisks, pastry brushes etc. Rather than buy from Amazon we looked for a local business and were happy to discover that Nikolaou deliver.

Everything came FAST. All products were exactly as described on-line but I chose a baking sheet that was too big for our oven (should have measured). We called and said we’d like to exchange it (and buy another pan and some parchment paper). They offered refund or exchange. When my partner went to the store they had everything ready to go at the cash. They may have a means of doing this kind of transaction remotely but we didn’t ask.

We are very satisfied and would highly recommend ordering kitchen supplies...

Anyone who knows me, knows I love it when I can make as many components of a meal myself. (Like the pasta noodles, the bread, etc) so when I discovered I could grind my own meats at home, I was thrilled! Nikolaou was the 3rd place I called, as I was looking specifically for a manual grinder. I was pleasantly surprised when the person that answered the phone told me “manual grinders? Oh yeah, that’s all we carry!” So I said I’d be there in 20 mins. Staff was friendly, very helpful when telling me about the different sized plates and what each was best used for. I will be going back there for any future kitchen...
