This place left a very good impression on me. At first, I thought it was just a keto restaurant, but there are also non-keto options and plenty of choices for vegan and GF diets. I don't follow any of these diets, but the person taking my order made sure that I was aware of everything in my order in case I needed to know. He was super friendly! I went back and forth on whether I wanted hummus in my platter and apologized for being indecisive, and he just laughed it off with me. I had a Tandoori Jackfruit Feast Platter. The feast platters are very customizable: you can choose your protein, sauces, type of rice (basmati or cauliflower), the veggies you want in your salad, and if you want to add any hummus and/or tzatziki dip. I was super happy with the platter I built! The tandoori sauce was as flavourful as I hoped for (and pretty spicy, but that might've just been the jalapeños I added) and the cooling tzatziki went really well with it. It was also very filling! For dessert, I tried the Keto New York Cheesecake. Mixed experience with this. The cheesecake had a very light texture similar to some no-bake cheesecakes, but with the full-bodied tangy flavour of a baked cheesecake, and I really liked how unique it was. But I think it was frozen in the middle and the biscuit crust was a little dry in a freezer-burnt way. There was a dollop of what looked like whipped cream on top but tasted like and had the thickness of butter, which I had to discard because it was too rich for me and didn’t have any flavour to contribute. I asked about decaf coffee/espresso when I ordered, and they don’t carry it, but tea was suggested as an alternative, so I ordered a green tea. The bag wasn’t labelled but it tasted like a sencha which is one of my favourites. Order and pay at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Space is a little tight in the cafe but it’s kind of cozy and I found the atmosphere to be welcoming.

We ordered from Caveman Café a few times over the past month – my husband follows a low-carb diet for health reasons and their highly customizable menu options allow him to enjoy dishes that he normally can’t have. We LOVE their keto pizzas and zoodles – the keto pizza crust is thin and crispy and holds the fresh toppings well, and the zoodles are great at absorbing the delicious flavours. We also enjoyed their keto lasagna, particularly with the beef cheek, as well as the platter feast with the prime rib (which was perfectly cooked medium). The monster burrito (which we ordered with keto tortilla) was a bit difficult to eat due to the large amount of filling but it was really tasty and filling. :) We did find that the cauliflower fried in cheese was too oily, and the salmon chunks that we had with the creamy zoodles alfredo were full of bones (I normally don’t mind bones but didn’t expect having to pick them out of my mouth while eating noodles). We also tried a lot of their keto desserts – my top 3 picks are probably the lemon cheesecake, keto twix, and pecan cookie! Overall, Caveman Café offers really delicious food that can fit any diet! They have become our go-to place for pizza night (now possible thanks to Caveman’s delicious keto pizzas!).

First time here! I ordered a 12 inch paleo pizza with lots of veggie toppings. Ate half there, ate the rest when I got home. Cassava+yam is a genius combination for those looking for a new alternative starch. They make their crusts thin, and it cracks and crunches on the outer edge and stays flatbread-like where it's hit by all the moisture of the toppings. My ingredients fell off easily as I picked up each slice, but the taste was worth putting them back on again and again. It was all very savory; not a hint of sweetness anywhere, even from the tomatoes and peppers. Not greasy or oily either. Service was good but nothing special. Complaints? - It's a good deal for all that special ingredients and preparation, but $19 (tax included) for a 12 inch pizza is NOT affordable by most people's standards - the peppers and tomato lacked flavour, perhaps they were cut too thin - they totally forgot the butter chicken sauce topping Photos are the leftover half, nicely intact after taking the bus home

When you think Keto the words fast and convenient don't usually come to mind, and I don't know about you but I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to trusting that a business is doing it clean keto... After talking to the caveman himself tonight at caveman cafe I have no doubt. I really appreciate when you can tell that people put a lot of love into what they are doing and the team here is a well oiled machine and they are doing it right! . . Aaron and I tried 3 different entrees off the keto menu tonight, followed by 2 dessert selections and let me tell you, everything was amazing. . . First up was the keto pizza, texturally this one was like no pizza I have tried anywhere else, very unique in taste and I personally loved the texture of it, it was more of a seedy texture, softer where the toppings were and a little crunchier towards the outside, just how I like it! . . Next up was "hasta la pasta baby lasagna" I LOVED this one! The meat sauce was amazing.... And I mean amazing! I loved the texture of the zichinni and eggplant so much and the cheese on top.... Oh man I'm drooling again. . . Last but DEFINITELY not least "the chosen bun" we split a lamb burger and one bite in we looked at eachother and I'm pretty sure our relationship ended and we were in love with this burger instead! We chose lamb and the meat was cooked to perfection! The burger was juicy and was packed with flavor... Now let's talk about the bun! "One bun to rule them all" is right! This bun was light and had amazing texture! I loved that it was the same shape as a traditional burger bun and I loved that the top had that familiar firmness you get with non keto buns... You know what I'm talking about! . . Now, let's talk dessert! We tried the new york cheese cake and the chocolate cheese cake. I really appreciate a good dessert and these ones were amazing! Texture is super important to me and they have got it nailed! The New York cheesecake was light and fluffy and the crust was super similar to the texture of a traditional graham cracker crust. The chocolate cheesecake store my heart, in fact, I think when you to there you will still see it on the back table! The texture on this was BOMB, the cheesecake parts were so good but it's that cakey almost brownie layer that got me! SO GOOD! . . we will most definitely be going back to the caveman cafe and can't wait to work our way through that menu! If you're local or coming to Vancouver for any trips you're going to need to add this to your list of places to...

Dissatisfying

We visited this Cafe, which is located @ Tinseltown, international village tonight for the first time. Their burritos are huge and freshly made, however, no sour creme or salsa comes with it. The taste is ok, however, will not blow you away. An armada of 7 staff prepares your burrito. The chilli you should stay away from. When I ordered the bowl for $3.99 and added meat for $2.99, I was warned by another guest not to place the order. However, I ordered and got disappointed. It's more a tomato sauce with beans. Wendy's in comparison offers a much better quality. However, our dining experience turned into a nightmare when an employee of the Cafe refused service to two elderly First Nations women, one equipped with a walker. The ladies entered the Cafe, picked a table and tried to understand the concept of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the two ladies were immediately asked to leave the Cafe and were recommended to go to 7 Eleven or McDonald's, since they were not allowed to sit around. The ladies had best intentions to place an order, however, were again and again asked to leave immediately Racial profiling at its best. The two ladies made their way to McDonald's next door and ordered a burger. We approached the employee and informed her that she was extremely rude to the elderly ladies and that they had no chance to explain themselves. The employee looked at us and said "I don't care. This is my last day here."

One can only hope that this is the only ignorant staff member with a tasteless attitude. Overall, you're better off going to...
