Sense, A Rosewood Spa — Local services in Vancouver

I came to Sense for a facial because I received a gift card (purchased directly from Sense Spa Rosewood) for my birthday. The facial itself was very nice and relaxing but the service that followed was surprising for Rosewood hotel group. When I was going to pay with the gift card, they informed me that there was no money on the gift card, which was strange since I’ve never used it and there was quite a significant amount on the gift card. I told the staff this and she asked whether “I’m sure”. She suggested that perhaps the person that gifted this to me may have used it, which is awfully rude. I asked if she could find out how I suddenly could have lost all the money on the gift card but she was unable to do anything. Instead I had to personally call a number because apparently the spa and gift card provider are separate entities. The person on the call told me she could see I had money in my account so she doesn’t know what the staff was talking about. It was quite frustrating having to liaise between two members of the same company that for some reason could not directly communicate with each other for an issue that was affecting me, the customer. Eventually after 30 minutes of going back and forth the gift card somehow worked. Unfortunately, the relaxing facial turned out not to be so...

I was lucky enough to get to experience both a deep relief massage and an advance care facial yesterday. Every staff member was wonderfully kind and helpful. The spa was very cozy, quiet, and calming. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I had the deep relief massage with Heath. He was professional, really nice to talk to, and shared some helpful advice so I can take better care of my tight shoulders and sore feet. Heath somehow was able to apply a lot of pressure to all of my sore spots in a way that didn't hurt, how is that possible?!

Allie provided the facial. She created a calming a therapeutic experience. She explained everything she was going to do and made it really easy to choose what I wanted I wanted most for my skin. Allie did voodoo magic with the products she used. I thought that maybe I wouldn't be able to notice the difference the next day after washing everything off but my skin still feels fantastic today.

Tian (I hope I have your name correct) at reception was really sweet. She made sure I didn't feel like a fish out of water in their beautiful spa....

I can not recommend the Sense spa enough. I have never had a better massage or facial. I have gone twice. The first time I splurged for the longest package they had. It was worth every penny. It started with the most amazing full body scrub. You lay on a massage table underneath a long shower head that has five spouts. Followed up with an incredibly massage and a facial. The girl who performed the services made sure to ask what areas needed attention and did a thorough assessment of my skin. The chair you sit in while you get your pedicure is amazing. Feels like you're floating.

The second time I went it was very last minute that they managed to squeeze me in so I didn't get to request the same technician, but I was so pleased with the woman who ended up doing my massage and my facial the second time as well. I highly recommend getting there early and taking a dip in the pool and relaxing in the lounge. Can not wait to go for my next...
