Unforgettable Gastown Food Tour with Shawn!

We had the absolute best time on the Gastown food tour in Vancouver, and it was all thanks to the incredible team behind it! We managed to snag a last-minute spot on a Monday tour, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the super friendly and helpful woman who answered the phone—she went above and beyond to make it happen for us.

From the moment we met our guide, Shawn, we knew we were in for something special. His passion for food, history, and storytelling made the experience so much more than just a food tour—it was an immersive journey through the flavors and stories of Gastown. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, offering a perfect mix of local favorites and hidden gems. The dishes were delicious, the portions generous, and the variety kept us excited for what was coming next.

Beyond the food, Shawn’s knowledge of Gastown’s history and his engaging storytelling made the tour even more enjoyable. He had us laughing, learning, and appreciating Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood in a whole new way. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does.

If you’re in Vancouver and love great food and great company, this tour is an absolute must. And if you’re lucky enough to have Shawn as your guide, you’re in for an...

After three years my wife and I finally used our Taste Vancouver Food Tour gift from out daughter and her husband. Maria for the past three years has been patient, responsive and easy to work with leading up to our Gastown tour on Sept. 1st. The wait was worth it and the experience exceeded expectations. I did not expect to experience anything new or learn anything new since I was born and raised in Vancouver. I was wrong. Sean our guide was a wealth of information about Gastown and very mindful of time and being on schedule with each stop. We sampled some food in eateries that I have never been before. Three of the seven were new experiences, but all seven stops were good. Small food samples, but surprisingly at the end of the tour I was pretty full. Met some interesting people in our group. Of the 19 of us only my wife and I were locals. Highly recommend Taste Vancouver Food Tours. A+ for Maria...

What a glorious way to spend an afternoon. Who knew that such a small, sweet street would be full of so much interesting history and yummy food. Our guide Brent was fantastic and incredibly accommodating (from dietary restrictions to bathroom locations). We had a pescatarian in our group and she was able to eat at all stops. We did not have to walk much at all and all food was really fresh when we arrived and felt very local. In short, it felt local yet luxurious.

We tried 5 food spots, 2 alcoholic beverages and 3 desserts and it was all amazing. The fish&chips and the ice cream stood out to my whole group.

Brent was also very knowledgeable and made the tour super pleasant. If Brent had his own entry on Google maps I'd give five stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for sure 😊

So I highly recommend this tour as a nice way to learn about Vancouver, explore Gastown and eat some...

“Gastown Food Tour” OMG best thing I did in Vancouver! This was truely a two in one, not only did you get to try so many awesome different foods at spots unknown by the flocks of tourists outside, our guide had so much local knowledge of the area we left with so much appreciation for the history of Gastown! Each stop was perfectly timed - We got there and were immediately seated and the food tasting presented to us. The tour accommodated everyone’s food/drink requests without an ounce of worry and were never put out by any on the spot requests on the day! We left absolutely full to the brim and I have to say that each stop improved on the last. Not one single tasting let the group down. Best way to see Gastown and also get an appreciation for the food culture of the city!
