The owner has zero respect for the residents around his business. I will never eat at Rice and Noodle the owner has caused such disruption and displays disrespect from all angles no in Vancouver should support this business.
This not about the Robson location this about the location on Broadway that has caused my family metal health issues. The builder he has contracted doesnât care that there is a young family living above the build. They come on to and in my property have no boundaries or respect. It has cause myself to loss a lot of business over $15000 I need quite to work. It been going on for over 8 months now and it really driving me and my family actually crazy. The city of Vancouver has not been any help even though my Neighboor got carbon monoxide poisoning and my wife rolled her ankle on the construction waste left on out side the entrance way.
The roof looks directly into our house in which I work from and will walk on to my patio and treat me as it is there space and Iâm not there. A few of the watch me get changed in the morning and laughed about it. This a invasion of my personal space. My landlord tried to make light of the situation and it is not a light situation at all. I have open my blinds to the grouses plumbers crack at 730 am yes hahaha it funny because it did not happen you.
The city has not done enough and the bylaws seem to be a joke that arenât enforceable or care to enforce. My family has suffered and I havenât been able to rest in my home and work in a long time. This Rice and Noodle guy apparently went over my landlords head and direct to the owner and the owner think they can do what ever they want. As they have come into my house forcefully saying âmy placeâ my 2 year old has better communication. The landlord tent act has been broken but as my landlord told me it not that bad! This situation could piss off a nun no one should have deal with a situation like this. It beyond be patient and understanding it as if we are getting stomped on and nothing to do.
It is infuriating at all levels no one should support...
Read moreWent there for a late quick lunch on a saturday.. maybe around 2pm.. it wasn't busy.. it was a small and cozy place.. ambiance was nice for an afternoon meal.. but the hallway was too crowded with supplies in boxes that was difficult to go to the washroom.. as soon as we walked in we didn't know that we needed to order first before grabbing a seat.. no one greeted us at the door.. so we figured to go to the cashier.. and realized that you order first.. so we ordered beef pad thai and thai coconut milk soup.. we looked for a table to sit down and the tables were dirty.. so i thought it was a "clean your own table" as well because the spray and the wet cloth was beside the self serve utensils near the garbage.. so i took the wet cloth and started cleaning our table.. cashier went to our table and said, "sorry about that" i was like.. its ok! I can do it! Our order came and the food was great! Its like i forgot everything that happened 5 mins ago because of the food! The soup was sooo creamy with a little kick.. you can choose the level of spice btw.. which i like.. the noodles and the taste of pad thai was superb! Serving sizes were huge for the price too! I would give the food a 4 star.. i like how the kitchen was open concept too! I would go back there for take out or a...
Read moreWalking around Granville and Robson and this place caught my eye, modern brightly lit storefront when compared to the bleakish surrounding environment, for those who are familiar with Granville Street you know what I'm talking about.
In the mood for something Asian and this place stood out like a guiding light in a heavily fogged wasteland.
Notice their dish prices were quite inexpensive when I realise there were extra charges for protein if desired (chicken, shrimp, beef). Vegetarians would love this place.
Ordered the Laksa with shrimp ($3 extra) and the Penang curry with chicken ($2 extra).
Both dishes were not bad, both dishes arrived piping hot. The Laksa was slightly spicy with a rich coconut based broth, plenty of vegetables with shrimp (previously frozen)
Penang curry was very good, again plenty of vegetables with sliced white chicken meat.
I was not expecting much but this fast-food style Asian restaurant was unique when compared to the surrounding pizza, burger, Mexican, middle Eastern food places on Granville.
Kudos to the owners for their bravery in establishing a rice and noodle option for the denizens of...
