This salon is an absolute hidden gem in Vancouver. I've been getting my hair done with the short haired woman - she gives the BEST perms of my life and they've always lasted an incredibly long time. It's a no-frills salon, but the cuts and swift and somehow perfect every time.

Her perms cost around $80 for longer hair and cuts are around $12 and takes like 10 mins. It's cash only but there are a lot of banks nearby. Appointments are easy to get and walk-ins are usually welcome. It's best to bring a reference photo if you don't speak Chinese.

Went there to get a skin fade cut with a v-shape in back, the same cut i would get since 6 years from 5 different salons with zero hassle. Asked the oriental woman twice if she understood what I asked for to which she confirmed affirmation... End result? Shaved crew cut with a 1 inch mallet shape at back.. To top it off, extremely poor grasp of English language for which had to ask a client there to translate,and to add insult to injury, she would consider taking off $2 for the trouble.. supremely nonchalant for the mistake.. Good thing for quarantine, it'll take a month to grow off this shave.. worst...

This is a no frills hair salon with friendly service and cheap haircuts ($8.99) and colour (under $40). My cut and colour were better than more expensive places...
