I'm all about supporting local artisans but the service in this store blows other shops out of the window. I saw this lovely pair of earrings with my work colleague on a Saturday stroll back on Canada Day. Originally I was bummed that it's on a standard pair of hooks (I have unpierced earlobes) but the salesperson told me they can get Honica Zylstra to customize specialized clip on hardware which is the combination of clip and screws so they will stay affixed comfortably. I was not expecting the shop dealing directly with the designer!

It was a no pressure transaction. I didn't have to pay up front and it took two phone calls for them to get me in because I was simply not in the area but they were super understanding. These gorgeous earrings are by far the most comfortable and sturdiest clip on pair I have ever owned. You definitely get what you pay for in service and quality; and they will go the extra mile to make it work. Definitely will return here for future...

Fantastic jewelry store. Staff were friendly. The indigenous jewelry is unique and lovely.

I'm thankful there's a good selection of men's items too. Much better than brand names. The packaging is also appreciated.

Only critique is the silver necklace I bought has a tiny clip that my big man hands struggle to open and close, haha. Would be nice if the staff both had and were trained on those necklace pliers to unhook and customize their necklaces on site: such as being able to swap out clips, pendants, handles ... ect for the merchandise they carry.

I still bought the necklace and enjoy it a lot. Just extra steps for me to go to a different jeweler to customize it is all.

I recommend shopping in store. The staff are helpful and the jewelry can look different online...

Sadly at this point I cannot give a higher review. We purchased a beautiful First People's band from Artina's for my husbands wedding ring. He hasnt had much of an opportunity to wear it. He put it on today and noticed the little diamond that we paid an extra $100 for is missing. We both contacted the store and were told that 'they dont know how he was wearing it' and they are "not liable for this loss". When purchasing high end jewelry from a reputable boutique downtown Victoria one would have expectations that the life span of the product would extend much further than a couple of months of light, casual wear. At this point we will wait for the return of the manager and hope this company does the right thing and stands behind...
