1 * for the chocolates being pretty and vegan.
Unfortunately they do not taste anywhere near as good as they look. Honestly you could buy chocolates for under $10 for a box that cost me fifty that taste better at the London Drugs Considering that they cost at least every bit as much as other premium chocolates in town such as Bernard Callebaut and Chocolat' they are not anywhere near the same level.
Considering that they're selling a premium product that customer service could also use some work. In addition to just fetching chocolate a little bit of personality and a smile would be nice.
(The following is response to the owners response. To answer your question, I didn't mind the peppermint cream, orange cream and hazelnut heart. The majority of them, especially the truffles all tasted alike. I couldn't get much flavor outside of heavy, bitter chocolate. I absolutely think none the less of anyone who likes the taste of your product however I and the people I shared them with did not and we are as entitled to that opinion as anyone else is to theirs. And that opinion is that other artisan chocolates that sell at a comparable price taste much better.
However chocolates are not the reason for this follow up. The reason for this follow up is whatever you are implying with that little "taking advantage of the fact that they are required to serve them, so they think they can be inappropriate with them." comment. Are you speaking hypothetically or are you accusing me of being inappropriate? If it's the latter, kindly elaborate. My only communication with her at all was to answer if I wanted a bag or a box, place my order, casually say that I just became vegan and it was nice to find something that looked so good that works with my new diet, confirmed that all your chocolates were vegan and then finally I declined a bag when asked. Those were the only words exchanged. I don't know what could possibly make her uncomfortable or what can be reasonably judged as inappropriate about any of that. If she genuinely did feel any discomfort, then she is making up something out of nothing.
I never said she was rude and wouldn't go that far in my assessment of the service I received. I would call it unremarkable and apathetic. I used to be in customer service. When I was it was stressed to me to at least attempt to cause a pleasant experience for customers. A smile and a friendly tone was just common practice. That was all I meant by even bringing up customer service. The low score was for the taste of the chocolates. The cost and customer service was intended as more of a side note.
It was not a big issue for me to spend money trying something new and not liking it. It wasn't the first time and likely won't be the last. It's the last paragraph of your reply that has made this the worst experience I've ever had with any store ever. Thanks very much for that. You have my word that there will be no chance in the future of anyone at your store being "made uncomfortable"...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood chocolate, bad customer service ( as shown by reply ) and shipping. I would only buy in store.
2nd Edit: They have updated there response here to be much more professional. Also I GOT the chocoalte delivered! January 20th, ordered Dec 2!
1st Edit to reply: Honestly don't want to get into it, it's just chocolate. Personally I was going for a frustrated tone, cause I was frustrated ( the shipping company has a 1.5 star rating, no phone number and had confirmed they did not attempt delivery. The provided link said "in transit" and only going through a third link stated held at location) but considering the replies I have received I don't think they can throw stones about rude emails/ responses. I was thinking that due to the postal strike they chose another random company and would like to know that they were not reliable. Anywho, I ordered from several other chocolate shops and they were all lovely. I am sad cause I obviously wouldn't be able to enjoy the chocolates anymore, and posted a review even suggesting shopping in store. I guess, as a loyal customer for several years I'm disappointed. Hope they were just having a bad day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely love Pure Lovin and can't say enough good things about them! I will start with the product itself: amazing!!! Delicious, vegan, ethical, and did I mention DELICIOUS??? So many yummy choices to choose from! I always love literally everything I get from them, whether it is single chocolates for a treat, ice cream (including their new summer soft serve sundaes!), boxed chocolates, bags of chocolate sponge candy (my favourite), and all the fun and amazing holiday/event goodies like their Christmas advent calendars, Valentine's Day roses, and my most recent purchase: wedding favours! They are always so kind and welcoming every time I visit the shops, and are very efficient and easy to order online through as well. And lastly, the owners are some of the absolute best people which makes supporting them even easier (as if the wonderful chocolate wasn't enough). If you want an amazing product from some amazing people, support the heck out of Pure Lovin'! You won't be...
