I'm actually appalled that I even have to write a review like this seeing as I've been coming to Coffee Culture for over 10 years and have always had a great experience.
My sister and I stopped in during street fest to order cold drinks. After walking in we stood looking at the menu for a few seconds before walking to the register to order as we were the only people in line. There were 3 young female employees standing behind the counter, 2 of the 3 doing nothing but chatting amongst one another, yet none of the 3 greeted or acknowledged us. And yes, they knew we were there as they all looked up as we walked in the door.
We stood at the counter for about 20 seconds or so before 2 of the 3 walked over mid-conversation and stood right behind the register and proceeded with their conversation. Pretending as if we weren't standing right across from them. Not only that, the conversation was quite inappropriate as they were speaking very poorly about previous customers.
After another 20-30 seconds of this nonsense I politely asked (trying not to impede on their conversation) if I was able to order. One of the girls pipped up with the worst attitude saying "um yeah?" as if I were inconveniencing her. I said "Excuse me? Please don't talk to me like that. I'm just trying to order" she then proceeds to look over at her coworker who was standing beside her and says "sure thing" and proceeds to laugh. I said "that was incredibly rude. I'm not being talked to like that when I just want to order a drink..." and then we turned around and walked out.
How is this behaviour okay? As someone who has been working customer service for well over a decade, as well as being a returning customer of Coffee Culture for just as long - I'm absolutely disgusted that this is the type of people working there now.
I would truly hope management reviews their camera footage and corrects their employee and their behaviour.
This was around 1:30 pm today...
Read moreMy husband and I had a really bad experience here today. There was only one person ahead of us in line when we came in, and it took us over 50 minutes to get a bagel and wrap. There were two girls working, one was trying to do everything and she is the only reason I gave 2 stars. The other was awful. While the good worker was busy making food the other worker ignored my husband standing at the cash waiting to order for 20 minutes, without so much as an acknowledgement or apology. Two women waiting in line behind him gave up and walked out. After he finally placed his order, she had to ask us again a few minutes later what we ordered because she forgot, so he told her again (it was a wrap and a vegetarian bagel). She disappeared repeatedly into the back for several minutes at a time while we waited, and just never started making our food. She'd come back then start taking other orders and disappear again. Eventually the other employee stepped in and asked this girl what we were waiting for, and she told her the wrong things! So, after 40 minutes now of waiting,we got a bagel with bacon on it, when we ordered vegetarian.
The other girl had stayed past her shift already so she started going home for the day (understandably). She told the incompetent employee what we had actually ordered.
This employee STILL DIDN'T START MAKING IT. She waited til the other girl was heading out with her stuff and asked her if she could make it for us, even though she wasn't doing anything else!
After all this waiting we never even received an apology for the wait.
This is the worst service we have ever received. We will not be back. I am not in the habit of leaving bad reviews but this was kind of...
Read moreOn September 14/21, I ordered a "Power Up Breakfast Bagel." It is advertised containing, egg, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese. When I arrived home, I found an egg with two very tiny pieces of tomato cut so thinly you could practically see through them. The cheese was two very tiny, and again, very thinly sliced pieces that only covered the little core areas of the tiny wafers of tomato. The avocado was practically non-existent. There was just a tiny spot of something green wiped on a corner edge of the bottom piece. Everything was so sparse in this "Power Up" bagel, you could not see if the bagel contained any ingrediencies at all unless you opened it up. I called the coffee shop to let them know, and was asked if I could return to the shop so they would make another one for me. When I returned to the shop, the server started arguing excuses with me about this breakfast bagel. She also told me they could make another one, but it would be exactly the same. This is something they could have told me on the phone instead misleading me that it would be done properly, and wasting a customer's time and gas returning to their shop. For those who have been to Coffee Culture in Woodstock, you know their prices are not cheap. One would expect reasonable portions, and quality. One would also expect a small business, especially in a town the size of Woodstock, not to mislead, and rip off the townspeople. I am very dissatisfied, and disappointed with the food, and...
