We had our wedding dinner at G spot cookin, 27-06-2020. The COVID crisis obviously impacted our plans but we still wanted to make it a special night with our closest friends here in HK. From the first contact with Rita and the Team we knew we were in good hands and that they would help us making that evening as special as we wanted. We had high expectations, obviously, but Rita and Greg were super flexible and accommodating before, during and even after the D-day (when we had to pick up all the things left). We started by 5.30pm with a short ceremony followed by a cocktail before jumping into dinner ariund 7.30pm... Dinner was fantastic, with home made dishes from Greg (whom we could see in action at any time during the evening!), the place, and staff, were all ours and making sure we would have the best possible evening (and we did!). The 5 dishes dinner (served on a long 20 guests table) was very decently priced and extremely tasty, with a great variety of dishes! Gspot Cooking doesn't charge a corkage fee or service charge, so definitely one of the the best option in town if you want to host a cosy and private evening while being able to tailor made it to your needs. There is even a nice balcony! We were really glad to find such a great team and place, who really tried to meet our (many) demands (we were definitely not easy customers for sure). A hidden gem (not for long) in HK and the best place to host your private events!! We will be back without a...
Read moreWe went to GSpotcooking the first time last summer to cook with a group of friends and have a high end dinner for 16 people. After looking at a few other venues, this was perfect for us. The kitchen is really well equipped with high quality kitchen tools, ovens, enough fridges and most of all plenty of working space to cook/prep/and plate dishes. A pleasure to cook in!
Besides the kitchen itself, the space is very well designed with classy black walls and nice furniture. The collection of tableware is also very good, we could serve all of our dishes on perfectly matching bowls/plates which really made big difference and elevated the experience.
Most of all though a big thank you to G & Rita and the crew. Really welcoming, passionate people who make you feel at home. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive and takes away a lot of stress as they clean everything while you are cooking.
We went back for Christmas day dinner with a group of 20, and loved it just as much as the first time, and we...
Read moreMy first time posting a google review. Never expected paying $720 per head for ridiculously salty chicken, salty kimchi pasta and uncooked kimchi pancake. Perhaps I really donât appreciate the chefâs collaboration of Korean cuisine. I just know that no matter how âcreativeâ itâs always about the taste. And the taste of the food here is unarguably bad. I could have easily found much better Korean food at $300 per head. I highly recommend the chef not to serve his signature âkimchi dustâ pasta. It is the worst pasta in my life. It is so dry so salty and the only topping is âkimchi dustâ. By definition, crunched dried kimchi. It doesnât taste kimchi. It just taste like salt. I wouldnât recommend this place for private group dining. As the time you can stay is too short (7:30-11 sharp). The only upside is that the restaurant has...
