Stayed February 15-20, 2025. The hotel was beautiful and covered in gorgeous Columbian art & sculptures. The location is great and close to shopping and restaurants. The space was adequate for our group of 14 (we rented the whole place). The beds were comfortable and had a private pool.
Now the bad, First the doors didn't lock to our room. Someone entered our room while my daughter was in the bathroom and took $230 from my purse (still no resolution so I guess I'm out of the money). No elevator, very steep stairs so if you have a disability I wouldn't suggest it. The AC barely worked. The internet was non-existent. We had to ask for face towels daily. The breakfast was underwhelming. The hotel is on a busy section of Cartagena so you can hear the traffic at all times of the night and early morning (don't expect to sleep in). We had to ask for our rooms to be cleaned. The water was luke warm (so no hot showers). There were ants in our bathroom, the tub was stained and mildew. Read moreWe LOVED this house! It was spacious enough for our big group of 20 family and friends, and each unique room had its own AC and was super comfortable. The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of Cartagena’s historic center and walkable to everything! The house is stunning, very well-preserved and comfortable, and surrounded by other beautiful and historic colonial homes, great restaurants, and shops. The staff was amazing! So kind and helpful and always available, but also completely unobtrusive to our guests' experience. Huge thanks to Roger, the property manager, who helped us coordinate everything from airport transportation to spa services! He was incredibly easy to communicate with and contributed greatly to our overall enjoyment. Our stay was truly perfect! We’re so grateful to have shared this magical place with...
Read moreWe reached CASA AMBAR/ORANGE based on a friend’s recommendation. It has a total of 9 rooms(7 of them for couples), several of which are comfortable with high ceilings. However, we noticed that one of the double rooms shares the same entrance as the non-double rooms, which might work well for a family but not for a group of couples seeking more privacy.
The pool was clean and well maintained. That said, the service fell short. While the staff was present, we didn’t experience attentive or proactive hospitality. The bathroom was not clean upon arrival, and both its cleaning and breakfast service had to be requested, which was not very convenient.
Overall, the house has potential, but the experience could improve with better service organization and some layout adjustments for hosting different...
