What an awesome place! Definitely stop by if you can. Of course it’s free but donations are always appreciated. There is something here for everyone-nature, flowers, marine life, even some cute videos on how important Galapagos is. The ecosystem itself has so much importance and the place has a ton of very cool and interesting placards with information (in English and Spanish). You have to have a guide to see the actual breeding center for the Galapagos turtles but it’s well worth it (it was $10 per person for us). They had a lot of information on native species, and some on invasive species which we found really exciting. They have a huge scale of a real whale that was found on one of the beaches, and lots of opportunities...

Fantastic 50min tour. I highly recommend doing it on your first day as the guides / naturalists are highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Not only was the tour great but we got great recommendations from the guide at the end on what to do for the rest of the time in Galapagos. Since they aren't selling you tickets, they give you honest suggestions based on your requirements.

Erika, our EN guide, was great, funny and engaging and showed us so many cool things in 50 mins that not doing a tour is almost a disservice...

A really nice collection of exhibits. Entry is free but, of course you do pay $100 to get into the Galapagos. I enjoyed the tortoises, the marine iguanas and the shark exhibit. It's only a 20 minute walk from Puerto Ayora. The unusual plants are as interesting as the animals. The coffee shop serves a pretty good cup of coffee. It takes 2 or 3 hours to see everything.
