Got this place through my tour company based in Quito. First, this may be the worst location in Puerto Ayora-it is a 15-20 min walk down to the harbor though only 5-10 to Darwin Station. It overlooks a neighborhood park with a basketball court. Far from idyllic.||||The room is fine but the bad takeaway is that my room, which is literally about 1-2 meters from the AP (wifi access point) just outside in the hallway yet the connectivity was only weak on my Chromebook based on the standard scale of weak, medium and strong. I only get 20 mbps here in the US with Centurylink and pages come up right away and I can download a 100 mb album in less than a minute.||||Naturally, their excuse was that wifi was "bad" in the Galapagos but considering that almost EVERYONE on the 3 main islands live with a few square miles of the town, this makes no sense. In fact, wifi should be super strong.||||And they might be better served for the included breakfast service by setting up a buffet instead of the table service. First, they make eggs but you must “request” meat-which means that beyond horrible “jamon” that is de riquer in South America and resembles nothing like the amazing “jamon” your get in Spain-how did this go awry over the centuries???||||Thus, if you are looking for additional walking exercise, stay here. Otherwise, look for a closer place to the harbor for transport, excursion...

We loved this hotel! Great breakfast every morning! Great staff (may need google translate to converse with them)! Neat outdoor area with hammocks by the pool. The suite at the top has a great room, bathroom, views and outdoor patio area. There is filtered water that you can use to fill up water bottles whenever you please. Air conditioning was great and rooms had mini fridges! Also great water temperature and pressure in the showers here. This hotel is in a quiet area but a quick 5 minute walk takes you to the start of...

It is not safe for children or the elderly.|The fridge hadn't been cleaned and smelled very bad. There is no way we would have actually put food in it.|The heating and air conditioning unit was not calibrated properly so the settings we put it on were not the ones it ran at. There was also a weird whining sound.|There is little sound proofing so we could clearly hear the people in the room above us.|The bed was comfortable and...
