I am highly impressed and satisfied with my experience at BNP Paribas, especially by Mr. Miguel Pablo at the Saint Germain Des Pres branch. I, as an international student in Paris, got my account opened in BNP within minutes. Without even asking, he made me aware of several benefits. I got 20% off on Gurantor for renting my accommodation in Paris, a good discount on home insurance, and 80€ bonus for opening an account. Plus, I got an interest-free loan of 3000€ for my house security deposit. Moreover, during a time of crisis, when my bag was stolen, which included all my gadgets including mobile phone, as well as bank cards (from which the thief took out 160€), Miguel was available at all times just an email away and acted very swiftly to block my account and unblocked after making sure all was right. Without even asking, he made me aware of all the benefits available to me as a student and I got a reimbursement of all the unauthorised transactions within a week, plus he helped me get some more benefits available to a student who is a victim of theft. I would like to particularly commend his ability to speak fluent English. As a foreign student, if it wasn't for him, it would have been impossible for me to communicate with the bank. Read moreBNP Paribas is just terrible. We tried to open two single bank accounts and one shared. We gave them the three million papers they asked for, everything in order. Somehow, they managed to do EVERYTHING wrong. We asked for MasterCard, they sent Visa. We asked to deal with the paperwork online, they send EVERYTHING (19 different letters) via post with several steps to be done via phone. One card has a wrong name written. Two cards are impossible to be activated. The remaining card has never been made. After more than one months and several visits to the office, NO ONE has giving us any answer. They cannot (or want) to do anything in situ and the only thing they do is keep sending letters via post. Our conseiller doesn't work there anymore (only person with English) and apparently no-one else has replaced her, so no one is answering our questions.
