Dear Crystal Hotel / Booking, I would like to receive your response about a terrible incident we had at the Crystal Hotel Paris. We arrived to the hotel around 1am, after of course notifying the hotel in advance and the approved the late hour arrival. We received a room at the 5th floor while the elevator ends at the 4th floor and then you have to take the stairs. When we got to the room, it had an awful smell and it was an attic. The only window in the room which was very small, did not open. Because we came for 6 nights we wanted a more comfortable room and not a room in the attic. We went to the front desk and requested a different room, we were told that we will receive a different room maybe tomorrow morning. When we went back to our room the door wouldn’t open. long story short, we went up and down the stairs until 4am with the hotel employee attempting to open the door, no key nor room card worked. I would like to mention that we didn’t have ANY OF OUR STUFF WITH US! ALL OF OUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. SUITCASES, CELLPHONES, MONEY AND CREDIT CARDS,EVERYTHING WAS IN THE LOCKED ROOM. We only had our passports on us. At 4am we received a different room for the night, but we couldn’t sleep we were worrying about all our stuff being locked in a different room. Not to mention we were still wearing the same thing from the flight. We didn’t even have a toothbrush, and the hotel didn’t offer anything to make this night any easier. IT WAS LIKE BEING HOMELESS FOR THE NIGHT. Not to mention that we were assured the hotel will contact the owners and open the door first thing in the morning. This did not happened and they opened the door only after I came to the front desk in the morning, we had to wait for another hour to receive our belongings. The hotel agreed to only reduce the first nights price by 50%. Honestly I believe that it is only fair that we won’t pay for that night. Also because we received the room at 4am and most importantly, we didn’t have any of our belongings and due to the late time (4am) we didn’t sleep which changed all out place for our first day In Paris and has effected the entire vacation significantly. I have tried to contact booking customer service and have talked on the phone with more than 5 customer service, each one has told me they are waiting for the hotel response and that they will call me back. no one has called me back and its been two weeks since the last call I made. I really hope your customer service will rise above this poor customer service and will address this issue. thank you...
Read moreA phenomenal location, but given the price and certain other things I think I am going to have to be more aggressive with exploring airbnb and vrbo in the future. The first room was not acceptable or what I requested (they switched me to a better room the next day) and the second room was fine, but doesn't justify the price. The breakfast was not serious and was totally lacking. We didn't recall seeing a single yogurt or piece of fruit or egg or meat. Perhaps we got there late, but that's not what I remember. The charge for it made it a very easy no. In general it was not too loud, but it could be occasionally. The beds were good. My wife liked it. I did not like the city tax. I was not aware of that till the last day. If you wish for your room to not have housekeeping service I suggest you really jam the card into the door, or it will probably fall off the door knob and they will come in. The safe is a pain and doesn't really work the way the instructions imply. But it does work. I didn't feel like I procrastinated planning my vacation, but apparently I did. We never stay in hotel that so terrible like this hotel before !The alternative of breakfast wasn’t worth it!||I and my boyfriend stays there from 2nd-7th August 2025 .We let the cleaning lady cleaned only one day since we stayed there and she didn’t clean well as when we came back to the room we saw the ground in our room still full of hair and still dirty with not fresh smell all over the rum with stain and hair but thanks, cleaning lady that she changed the trash bag and made the bed but didn’t change the new bedsheets for us.||In the bathroom she didn’t clean the floor because full of hair and stain but at least she changed only the two small towers with 2 soaps and 2 small body lotion bottles and changed the trash bag for us .She didn’t fill up the hair and body wash for us or maybe she didn’t...
