I stayed at La Villa Saint-Germain-des-Prés in a Deluxe Double Room for 5 nights in March 2025 and absolutely loved it! This boutique hotel is truly wonderful. It was fully renovated very recently, and it shows.||All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Special shout-out to Julio on the concierge desk who was always ready with a smiling morning/afternoon/evening greeting (he seemed to be there constantly!).||The room itself (Deluxe Double Room) was lovely and comfortable with all of the modern conveniences you would expect, and more! ||Heated bathroom floor! The largest and plushest bath towels of any hotel I've even stayed in anywhere in the world - and I'm not exaggerating! ||Two large screen TV's. ||Brand new coffee maker and kettle. And somehow the kettle boils water in the quietest way I've ever come across! ||Super fast WiFi - that never dropped out. ||Fabulous heating/cooling system that is controlled by a modern wall mounted unit. It takes a little working out (Julio showed me how to use it, when he ushered me to my room upon arrival), but once you get the hang of it, it's brilliant. ||Great artworks on the walls, with a hardcover book in the room that tells you the history behind each one and who the artist was. I found this super interesting and it added to the overall "specialness" of the room.||Plenty of desk space and power outlets for plugging all of your devices into. ||A lovely two seater leather couch to relax on. ||Beautifully comfortable king size bed. ||A turn-down service at night (with complimentary snack items). ||I unfortunately didn't get to eat breakfast in the hotel dining room, but it looked very good (as I headed out the front door each morning)! ||The hotel location is magnificent. I'd not stayed in this part of the 6th before, and I can assure you, I will now stay nowhere else whenever I'm in Paris. Fabulous cafe's & restaurants (including the world famous Les Deux Magots), boutique shops, and historical sites all within easy walking distance of the hotel. ||In future, I absolutely won't be staying anywhere else other than at La Villa Saint-Germain-des-Prés whenever I am in Paris. ||A truly wonderful...
Read moreCheck-in & Service I arrived in the evening when only the concierge was present, but my request for a mattress topper and an extra blanket (I prefer soft beds) was handled within 10 minutes. Even without housekeeping on site, the staff quickly found a solution — a huge plus. Special highlights and thanks to Thomas and Miss Olga for their kindness and helpfulness.
Room Spacious for Paris and very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to replace the large glass desk with a smaller, more practical table to free up space for luggage. The toilet felt unusually high, but not a major issue. Bathroom was spacious with Le Labo amenities, Dyson hairdryer, robes, and slippers. Towels were high-quality but a bit too heavy for my preference. I would also suggest adding a pillow menu, including orthopedic options, since current pillows were all similar in firmness. Chromecast-enabled TV was a great plus.
Noise & Comfort Soundproofing was very good — as someone sensitive to noise, I felt comfortable and undisturbed.
Facilities Spa area was nice: small pool (I wish it was slightly warmer), good sauna with a pleasant scent, and a small gym.
Breakfast Good quality, but a limited selection, especially for longer stays. I’d suggest adding more fresh vegetables and fruits ☺️
Special Occasion I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and while the hotel left a card and a small chocolate as a nice gesture but I think it would be great to make such occasions feel more special, and this could be an area for improvement🥰
Overall Experience This hotel has become one of my favorites in Paris and even in Europe. Cozy, calm atmosphere, excellent service, and comfortable rooms. While there’s room for minor improvements, my stay was a solid 9/10, and I will definitely return on my next...
Read moreI've been stayy ing at La Villa for over 20 years and have never had a bad stay. This boutique hotel is set in a beautiful part of the city conveniently located for both the Metro and the Batobus.|Recently completely refurbished, the hotel has been finished with real attention to detail. The decor is tasteful and rooms are well appointed with lovely touches (mine had a great bonsai tree which gave a great feel to the space). |The changes brought some changes for those who knew the hotel of old. I understand why the changes may have been necessary, it can now boast a wellbeing spa, small pool, massage and sauna areas. That came with the loss of the wonderful spiral staircase but the new space works well and provides a brighter space for breakfast (which is a buffet choice). |With so much change, I was concerned that the feel of the hotel might have been lost - I needn't have worried. Within a few minutes of arriving I was welcomed as a returning friend by universally friendly staff. |The heart of the hotel is unchanged and it remains my hotel of choice in Paris. In the words of that renowned traveller Arnold Shwarzenneger -...
