Most horrible experience at a Chanel store ever!! I went in the morning to browse for a bag to gift to my mother for mothers day - Christian was the SA who assisted me. He was not rude but also not very nice or helpful. Since it was a gift to my mother, I wanted to make sure she liked it. Given the time difference, I had to wait a few hours for her opinion. I asked what time the store was open until and Christian said 8PM and I could come back to get it. I then went to lunch after my visit and was closer to the flagship store. I went to the flagship store after my mother said that she approves and she really likes it. Unfortunately, they did not have the bag but the SA, Ava, was the nicest - she tried calling the Bon Marché chanel store for me to ask to hold the bag. After calling around 7 or 8 times, she gave up and told me that they were not answering. She mentioned that if I left now, I should be able to make it to the Bon Marché store before 7:30PM. Low and behold, I arrived around 7:20PM to purchase the bag with my credit card in hand. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME PURCHASE THE BAG! I literally had my credit card in one hand and the bag in the other. However, they will not let me pay. They mentioned that there were no SAs available (when there were 5 people just standing around not doing anything). I do not understand why the manager would not be able to just process the payment since I already had a profile since I have purchased several Chanel items in the past. I honestly never had such a horrible retail experience ever and I have been to several other Chanel flagship stores all over the world. Lastly, I told them that my flight was the next morning so I wouldn't be able to come back in time. I asked if they would be able to help me call the Chanel store at the airport to check inventory since I know there is a Chanel in Terminal 1 - not only did they say no "I cannot call another chanel" (when Ava from the flagship store called the Bon Maché store right in front of me) but they wouldn't even let me take a picture of the bag. I wanted to take a picture of the tag so I have the price and serial number but they denied me from taking a picture of the bag??!! I am absolutely flabbergasted at this experience. Honestly, I cannot believe they turned down my business of over $6000. I am furious and it has truly left such a bad taste in my mouth. I think after this experience, Chanel has lost a loyal fan and customer. Read moreI had the worst possible experience at Chanel Le Bon Marche. I was looking to purchase a Chanel Classic Flap Medium bag for my birthday and I had taken an appointment online on the Chanel Website. I had even called up the Le Bon Marche Chanel ahead of my visit to ensure that they have my appointment and they can reserve the bag for me 24 hrs in advance. There were couple of things that went wrong :
Upon reaching the store they mentioned that they did not have my appointment in their system - which was weird because I had the confirmation email and the SMS from Chanel confirming the same. We were served by SA named Polina - she mentioned that they do not have any bag that's been reserved for me and I asked for the Classic Flap in medium and she shows me the small classic flapbags. I then asked her to recheck the stock and bring me the exact bag I was after. After a lot of back and forth between the stock room and back she managed to find a bag. We paid for it and went back to hotel to catch our train back to London. Upon reaching London I realised the dust bag was missing from the Chanel Box. I immediately messaged Polina asking what's the way to get the dust bag for my bag. She and her manager were in no way apologetic to me for this mishap. They said I could walk into any Chanel store and ask for a dustbag - I was pretty sure this was not the case. They then informed me that they had called up the Selfridges London concession and ask to give me a bag. So on the weekend I decided to go to Selfridges London and collect the Dust bag - upon reaching there the manager said nobody contacted them and they cannot give me a dust bag.I then had to spend a lot of time explaining what happened and they then offered me a dust bag after a lot of apprehension.
I was truly appalled by the customer service - I mean we are spending 10,000 EUR on a bag and the least they should do is be apologetic and offer some sort of help to get me the dust bag ? There was absolutely no effort from the Le Bon Marche Chanel to help me out.
This is not my first Chanel bag and I have been a loyal Chanel customer since years now. I have previously shopped at various other Chanels - Rue Cambon etc and never came across this level of horrendous service that I have received at...
Read moreWorst Chanel store ever! Waited 50min to get in still forced to sit for another 30min and no one came tell us how long we still have to wait. Asked a shop assistant only to be told abruptly that other people has appointments so can’t tell me how long we still have to wait. She commanded me to ‘just wait’ and ROLLED her eyes at me then walked away! I asked for manager and the whole time the manager was denying my feelings and telling me the sales Jenny was not been rude but only doing her job and I misunderstood her, while Jenny this woman stood next to the manager and teased me by laughing, shaking shoulders, and squeezed her eyes (classic RACIST to Asian). I then complained to Le Bon Marche floor manager who then told me Jenny was employed by an agency, not Chanel so they can’t ask her to come apologize although she served me inside Chanel, made me so upset and cried. Chanel manager also came to me again but lied and told me Jenny was feeling very sorry and she’s crying in the store too, but I walked pass her only 5min after and can see she was laughing and speaking to her colleague like she did no harm to others.
